Second Opinions
Hey, guys. We needed some second opinions again! Going to repost the whole explanation since it's been a while.
All of the below fandoms are a) a series that we aren't familiar enough with to judge characterization on, b) a series for an application on which we need extra input, or c) a series whose application we personally feel we cannot give impartial judgment.
ONLY CURRENT, ACCEPTED PLAYERS MAY GIVE SECOND OPINIONS.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND DEFINITELY HAVE THE TIME TO READ OVER ONE OR MORE APPLICATIONS FOR US,
PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS ENTRY WITH THE FANDOMS FROM THE LIST BELOW THAT YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH AND WHOSE CHARACTERS YOU WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE CRITIQUING. HERE is the list of apps if you need to refer to what characters have been applied for in each series.

All personal information on the applications will be completely cut out when we send them to the second opinion givers, and all comments to this entry will be screened.

What happens if you pick me to read an app?
We will contact you via e-mail and tell you which applications we would like you to give your second opinion on. If you're cool with what we're asking you to do, we'll forward the application(s) to you once we have made sure to remove any of the applicant's personal information. (This includes name/handle, e-mail, AIM, roleplay history, answer to the optional question at the end, etc.) Thus, you will only know the applicant's identity if they publicized who they were applying for in the lounge.
Once you have read the app, you must send us a reply e-mail with your thoughts on it. Be aware that if you suggest rejection and if we agree with you, we might quote you (anonymously) and/or use your rationale when we explain our reasons for rejection in the e-mail to the applicant. Same goes for if you point out power problems or reasons for revising a section of an otherwise acceptable application.
Also be aware that all of your reasoning must be well-founded and unbiased, and that although we will take your opinions into strong consideration, we still might disagree in the end.
Two important things here:
- Once you read an application, you absolutely may not tell anyone in the RP that you were chosen to read the application, nor may you discuss the contents of the application with anyone other than the mods. This is to protect the privacy of both the applicant and you.
- To avoid bias, we will absolutely not allow anyone to read the application of someone who they're buddies with or someone who they encouraged to apply. If we aren't aware that you're friends with the applicant of the character that we have you critique, you must let us know our mistake; additionally, when offering a second opinion, let us know if there's any character in that fandom who you can't read for due to personal bias. We will only allow this set of circumstances as an absolute last resort. (We will under no circumstances allow you to read an app if you and the applicant have a bad history or... something. D:)
