That favorite reminder...

Since there are less than two weeks left until apps, and everyone needs the reminder that oh crap, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS UNTIL APPS, it's time for everyone's favorite meme:

Who are you apping this cycle?

Or who are you still deciding between, since I know people are still trying to pick. Mostly it's a chance for us to squee with each other, and also offer moral support, encouragement, and human souls. (And if you app one of the guys in the icon? You will indeed get souls.)

To have a little fun with it, if possible, post a picture of your character instead of giving the name. I know it's not always possible, but don't feel left out! Book characters are love too! Try and keep the images small though, for people with slower connections. No more than 300x300 would be ideal. You can also give a factoid or too, and relish the fact that no, you are not alone in this apping cycle of doom. Others are there with you.

And the point of it all is of course, to have fun!

Well, I've totally got nothing against the character (Mikami too, even though, I just realized, it sounded that way in my previous comment, orz. x_X;) Misa's just going to turn gray if both she and Mikami show up and start kissing Light's ass-- HER ass-- and she has no idea who they both are. What time period are you gonna take him from, out of curiosity? Post-series, or somewhere in the middle? Either way, Light's so screwed.

Ha ha. Yeah, I'm worried about that myself. I'm going to try my best though, since I think he deserves it.

Actually, I'm going to take him from just after his field agent Gevanni calls to tell him that Mikami Teru has gone to a bank outside of his normal routine, but before he has confirmation of the deaths of Takada Kiyomi and Mello. This is an important moment for Near, because it's when he first realizes the flaw of his own plan to triumph over Kira with absolute proof. (Yes, I c/ped from my app.)

I didn't want the finality of end of series for him, just to make things a bit more interesting.

Also, you could app Mikami? Give a little push to Light's side?

Ooh, that sounds like a great point to grab him from. :D And there's plenty of interactions that could really help him grow even more.

And I've got a friend waffling about apping Mikami or someone else, actually. XD Though she might not finish it for this period, but maybe we'll see him in the future? I really hope so, at least. I'm going for Matsu, though,

Although Matsu would probably give a little push to Light's side, anyway, because he's such a loyal dork. Light would just have to be a bit careful because he'd probably stick close to L, too.

Ha ha, I saw your comment! Matsuda actually makes me giggle, so I hope you finish your app! If there's anything I can do to help talking as if I'm not in a time crunch with my OWN app, I'd be willing?

Even if it's just cheering you on, because damned needs more Death Note, yes?

And yeah, I thought pretty hard over it. He doesn't get too too much development during the series, but that was a pretty pivotal moment for him. And having a Mello around is definitely something I've thought about in this choice too. ;)
