That favorite reminder...

Since there are less than two weeks left until apps, and everyone needs the reminder that oh crap, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS UNTIL APPS, it's time for everyone's favorite meme:

Who are you apping this cycle?

Or who are you still deciding between, since I know people are still trying to pick. Mostly it's a chance for us to squee with each other, and also offer moral support, encouragement, and human souls. (And if you app one of the guys in the icon? You will indeed get souls.)

To have a little fun with it, if possible, post a picture of your character instead of giving the name. I know it's not always possible, but don't feel left out! Book characters are love too! Try and keep the images small though, for people with slower connections. No more than 300x300 would be ideal. You can also give a factoid or too, and relish the fact that no, you are not alone in this apping cycle of doom. Others are there with you.

And the point of it all is of course, to have fun!

Lucas speaks through his actions! Uh, and the tiny bits we get before we play as him. XDD Anyway, yes! Sure, he's been through a lot, but that just was preparing him to go through more! (That makes perfect sense, yes.)

He's such a cutie. But I love Claus too, I was really torn. Mmm, if you want Lucas, I'll start planning for a Claus next cycle, if they decide to let me have a sixth character then (:D;;;) and if we had a Duster it'd be like a big party! Of angst. XD

I think the only line of his I remember is when Alec confronts him about where Lucas has gone in Chapter 2 >_> But Mother 3's sprites are just so expressive~ You can still work out a lot of Lucas' personality from just his animations :3

Shamelessly woobie angst. And six characters? :O That's...really impressive, if slightly insane XD

Yeah. XD; Umm... let's see. At the campfire, he just goes "Okaa-san ga... Okaa-san ga...!" At the funeral, if you speak to him before you speak to the grandfather, he says something about things not coming true even if you pray from the bottom of your heart (ouch, M2), and then there's the scene with the grandpa, and if you follow Lucas home you just get incoherent sobbing. With Duster, you can see Lucas outside his house at night saying he can't sleep, and I think it's either Duster or Salsa's story where you can go into the house during the day and Lucas says he wishes he had gone with Claus. And stuff like Kumatora's shower where it's all "It has been a long journey, blah blah, Lucas wanted to become stronger, blah blah," too, I guess.

So, that is an answer, yes. I am somewhat insane. XD; (I'm in the middle of a second play-through so it's all right on my mind.)

A-anyway, I think that's all we get other than the delightfully expressive sprites. *obsessive*

Once again, impressive~

I've played through twice, but only once with a translation guide. For my first playthrough, I barely survived with my lacklister Japanese skills XD Lucas uses a very polite speech style (well, for a male protagonist, at least :B) if I remember correctly, and we know he's a bit of a crybaby, kind-hearted and is rather co-dependant. I'm also going to assume he's pretty shy, considering his lack of confidence in himself (and the rest of Tazmilly's occupants being less than friendly to him after the 3 year timeskip) but very loyal to those he is close to (he stayed with and looked after his father for three years straight, pretty much by himself, while Flint spent all of his days just going off into the mountains to search for Claus and being completely broken after the loss of both his wife and one of his sons). I haven't yet played SSBB (stupid ever-changing British release date *sob sob*) so I haven't seen Lucas' cutscenes :/

Ha ha, I just get obsessive over stuff when I get into it. XD;;; Mostly character things. I'm on my second time through; my Japanese skills are okay to get through, but there are things that give me trouble still, stupid hiragana-mostly mumble mumble. I think that your idea of Lucas seems right to me too, though... even though Lucas becomes stronger, at heart he's still the same gentle kid, and just strong for the sake of the people he loves. I've not played SSBB, just watched the cutscenes on youtube. *sucks at those games XD;* I think the first one is... like... cutscene 7, or something? He doesn't show up until late into them, I'm pretty sure.

Okay, I'm definitely going for Claus! >.< I'll be paying close attention for his character's sake!

I have a freind who is completely obsessive with the game, so evenif my mediocre fighting game skills fail me, I can just bother him to show me them :)

Will you being going for pre-Hinawa death!Claus, pre-Draco fight!Claus or Pokey's Evil!Claus? Or take him from some other point in canon entirely?

Claus is the most cuddle-worthy part of our post-apocalyptic invasion nightmare! :D But... yeah, I'll need that three year gap for sure to get him in, if I could. >.>; After Porky, 'cause otherwise... he's like... 10, and has never fought anything. I figure I'd go with "I'm sorry... I'm glad I could see you again... thank you... *fade away, wake up in Landel's* Hey, what the pork is going on here?!" sort of scenario. XD;;;

.... e-ever since this conversation, I can't stop thinking about how adorable a little evil Commander Claus would be. >.<; The problem is justifying him doing things without a Porky around to give him orders, but I suppose "Get back to where you could get orders" would work...
