That favorite reminder...

Since there are less than two weeks left until apps, and everyone needs the reminder that oh crap, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS UNTIL APPS, it's time for everyone's favorite meme:

Who are you apping this cycle?

Or who are you still deciding between, since I know people are still trying to pick. Mostly it's a chance for us to squee with each other, and also offer moral support, encouragement, and human souls. (And if you app one of the guys in the icon? You will indeed get souls.)

To have a little fun with it, if possible, post a picture of your character instead of giving the name. I know it's not always possible, but don't feel left out! Book characters are love too! Try and keep the images small though, for people with slower connections. No more than 300x300 would be ideal. You can also give a factoid or too, and relish the fact that no, you are not alone in this apping cycle of doom. Others are there with you.

And the point of it all is of course, to have fun!

XD I shall pass it along. I've only just started getting into Batman Beyond (as well as Smallville and god knows what else - wasn't there supposed to be Uni in there somewhere?) but it seems interesting. She would make for an AWESOME Terry-Bat too!

...Oh God at Smallville. Uh, if you get past Season 4, good luck. If you get to Season 7 and to the end, you will seriously have balls of steel, because show's jumped the shark several times over by that point. :(

Currently only in season 1, but I'll probably try and get further if only to say I have BALLS OF STEEL. I was resisting just fine, till I found out they put Bart in it. I miss him so much and am a complete sucker for anything related to him. ;_;

SV is generally okay up to beginning of Season 4, but once they start throwing in witches and crap, it gets retarded. :( I THINK Bart's first appearance is in Season 3(?). :D

Though, it can't be nearly as bad as the insanely convoluted time travel plots of the Flash comics.

Well, some are so bad that you just watch for how retarded they can get (lol, Stride gum episode, looking at you!). Good luck on those Bart episodes then. xp Basically [spoilers, I guess for Season 4]

Lana APPARENTLY has an ancestor called Isabel who can somehow possess her through the Kryptonian sigil for water and it's pretty much as retarded as it sounds. :(

I DUNNO, can't say I'm too familiar with Flash: we talking Back to the Future awesome, superdickery (flashdickery?) awesome or just D: inducing convoluted? :(

I could probably cope with that, though I may start yelling at the characters in those episodes. But that can be fun if you have friends with you.

Huh... I'm guessing a lump of Kryptonite was involved somewhere with her ancestor? Or something equally lame? What does she do while possessed?

Mostly D: inducing convoluted. Like so:

*deep breath* How about when they introduced the villain Cobalt Blue, who has magic and the ability to steal speed. They then revealed that he was actually the long lost twin of the previous Flash, Barry Allen, and had been taken at birth.

THEN he used his mad magic skillz to fortell that he would use his magic to destroy two Flashes before killing his brother, but his brother was currently dead. HOWEVER Barry had lived in the 30th century for a bit before coming back to the 20th and dying, so Cobalt Blue sent his magical gem thingy out through time to create lots of other Cobalt Blues until the 30th century rolled round and they could kill Barry.

So Wally gathered up the other speedsters of the time and sent them all out time travelling, fighting different Cobalt Blues and collecting other Flashes until they got to the 30th century and found that the original Flash, Jay Garrick, had been possessed by Cobalt Blue the entire time and used fragments of the magic rock CB owned to possess every other speedster (cept Wally, cause... well just cause). Then Wally starts fighting them, Barry turns up to help and they win! Then CB kills Barry anyway. Which messes up the timeline (apparently despite the tons of time travel in the series, everyone still magically knows what is and isn't supposed to happen) so Wally ends up having to run back through time AGAIN so that he can save Barry at the last second.

And then when you think the whole mess is finally over, the fight ends up catapulting Wally into an alternate universe with an evil version of him. And things get even MORE complicated.

Ahh comics. Sometimes you rock so much, other times I only keep you around so I can scare my friends. Unfortunatly the longer running the series, the more it falls into catagory two.
