That favorite reminder...

Since there are less than two weeks left until apps, and everyone needs the reminder that oh crap, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS UNTIL APPS, it's time for everyone's favorite meme:

Who are you apping this cycle?

Or who are you still deciding between, since I know people are still trying to pick. Mostly it's a chance for us to squee with each other, and also offer moral support, encouragement, and human souls. (And if you app one of the guys in the icon? You will indeed get souls.)

To have a little fun with it, if possible, post a picture of your character instead of giving the name. I know it's not always possible, but don't feel left out! Book characters are love too! Try and keep the images small though, for people with slower connections. No more than 300x300 would be ideal. You can also give a factoid or too, and relish the fact that no, you are not alone in this apping cycle of doom. Others are there with you.

And the point of it all is of course, to have fun!

There's also Wolverine! And Statesman (from City of Heroes/City of Villains) was trying to organize something too. I think that's it!

As for the bad guys, we've got Harley, Scarecrow, Venom, and Sylar if you count Heroes people. 8D There are some Heroes good guys around, too, and Claire is friends with Clark, actually.

I'm not familiar with Statesman, though wiki assures me he's a team leader. Think he could pull the potential mess together?

Yeah, it should make for great fun! And hopefully some friendships and rivalries along the way. Spidey and Wolverine have already gotten to know each other, at least.

Flash will try to be friends with most people, though that doesn't mean that he won't pick on them/flirt randomly/steal their lunch. Any of the Bat-family on the other hand... >D

Man, I need to stop refreshing this page and finish up my samples. Promised I have the ready for reading over this evening. XD No prop about the journal switching, I've been looking over this comm for a bit, so I've gotten used to all the alternate journals around the place. XD

Hahaha, Flash. ♥ I've seen a few episodes of Justice League here and there, and I remember really liking him, so yay! Not sure if Spidey would -- well, if Flash introduced himself with that name, Peter would probably think back to Flash Thompson and have bad associations at first, but who knows!

Ahh, the samples. I always leave those until the end. Sounds like you've almost got your app done, though! Yeah, I usually stick to my personal journal to make things easier, but I had to break out the Spidey journal for this occasion. 8D

Well, seeing as Flash presumably isn't allowed his costume, he'd be going by Wally West initially (he's not so good at the secret identity part, but he does have one) so that wouldn't be too much of an issue.

Yeah, I've only got the personality and the samples to go. Then lots of proof reading! Speaking of, is it okay to ask other players to read over apps? I'm guessing those involved in reviewing them can't, but could I put up a general shout out for people to check over the history in particular? Wanna make sure I'm not inadvertantly making it only readable to those who are familiar with the series.

The Spidey journal is awesome. I think the hardest thing for me will be getting a journal name if I get accepted. :P

Yeah, though Wally will also be going "I'm not a superhero!" while trying to eat enough to support his metabolism and find out if he's being mind controlled/kidnapped/locked in a dream AGAIN. He's canonically been called by name in costume and also had the League teleport him out of a storeroom in his workplace (which is a police station), so I'm thinking his secret identity won't last that long. XD

I'd been wondering how come Peter got his costume. I think Harry-mun mentioned it was a contest or something?

Thanks, in that case I shall look into making a post or something asking people familiar and unfamiliar with the series to take a look if they have time. :D

Gosh, these poor hero types always have it so rough. XD! Peter has started to realize that keeping his identity a secret isn't nearly as big of a deal at Landel's, but he does it anyway out of habit. :X

Yeah, last October we had a Damned fic-writing contest to celebrate the game's first year anniversary. Anyone who participated got an outfit for one of their characters, and I picked Spidey.
