MODPOST: SHIFT WORKINS (aka these subject lines never make any sense)
SO. I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN KEEPING TRACK OF STUFFZ (
loreamara was kind enough to keep the Landamned calendar updated, as per my request 8D) AND TONIGHT, THE SHIFT WILL FINALLY CHANGE, and although I know some of you still need to do more with your visitor threads, you can just let that spill into the time alotted to the next shifts, if you want.
KAY SO. Other than letting you guys know I haven't been forgetting to change the shift like a weiner (XD), I'm here to let you guys know how posting for the newly-added dinner shift is gonna work:
Okay, so! It's simple! First off, given the fact that the doors to the rooms get locked after dinner is served, each thread is only going to have two people, right? Keep that in mind as I lay this out for ya.
1) After the intercom announces the shift change, you thread with your character's roommate in response to the intercom post, not in response to a new patient-made post. This is so there aren't a million different two-person posts all over the place in the comm, and also so that characters who are just waking up don't end up with weird continuity errors that would happen if they had to jump from one post to the next even if they aren't actually moving to a new area.
2) If your character's roommate hasn't posted yet, (and if you haven't already worked out stuff with the roommate's player about where your characters are positioned and whatnot) assume that the roommate hasn't yet gotten escorted to the room from the last shift and post as your character in response to the intercom. If your roommate has already posted, post in response to your roommate and not in response to the original intercom post. Basically, start the thread if your roommate ain't there already and jump into the thread said roommate made if they are. (Oh, and if you're the first one posting, and your roommate is someone who's just getting intro-ed this shift, assume they're sleeping in the other bed. 8D)
3) You MUST stick to that one thread with your character's roommate. This is kind of a no-brainer, but even though everyone's going to be responding to the same post, each thread is in its own separate room, so it wouldn't make sense for anyone between threads to interact. The only people who could join the threads other than the two roommates would be nurses.
4) Just to clarify, character intro posts get posted in response to the intercom post that they're introduced in, same as always. The comments on said post are just gonna be a little more crowded this time. XD; Also, same rules for posting as mentioned above apply: If you're intro-ing your character into a room where the roommate has already posted, post in response to the roommate, and if your intro-ing your character into a room where the roommate hasn't already posted, post in response to the original intercom post.
.....Okay. XD; I HOPE IT'S NOT TOO COMPLICATED. Just wanted to make sure I was detailed and clear about everything so as to minimize confusion. <3 HOOKAY. All right, time for intercomz postins. 8D Comment with any questions!
Edit: OH, something I forgot but which a bunch of you wisely did anyway: If you're the first poster to your thread, PLEASE put your room number as your subject line so as to make everything... not so confusing. XD; Thanks!

Yeah, I put Haruhi with Haruhi (since that was the only open spot) and Cameron with Snape. Rock Lee and Tsuzuki have had roommates for a while

I can't believe that wasn't done intentionally. Hahahah, I seriously laughed when I found out about it. Thank you, this will prove to be very interesting.
