I so blame all of you for this.

As some of you know, I work at a hospital. Before I came there, the guy who would have been my boss quit, and we've had this moron who makes me work sixty hour weeks there while we were waiting to get the new guy here from the lower 48. All we've known about this new guy they recruited is that he's some admin sort that was third or fourth guy in charge down at some mental hospital.

Friday I got a memo from Martin Landel. He was saying how happy he was to be joining our hospital's staff. He's my new boss.

I'm half-afraid to get called in for consults Monday.

Imagine my shock sitting there reading the memo going 'Blah-blah-blah- glad to be here- blah-blah-blah- Get the totals up -blah-blah- Martin Landel'.

I kept thinking that maybe it was a typo. Maybe he just typed in the wrong name or I was misreading the signature on it. Nope, the next up supervisor confirmed it for me that his name really is Martin Landel and that he used to be one of the head admin for a mental institution down in the lower 48. Gods only know why he chose to come up here to Alaska of all places fleeing conviction in the lower states.
