damned_lounge | (no subject)

So, okay, chat convinced me to post this now and I have to agree with them even with my being a paranoid crazypantstype. UM, SO... Light has not been working out for me for the past, ah, some number of months. I'd always felt a considerable amount of doubt when it came to playing him, but now it's just gotten to the point where it's totally unmanageable. Additionally, my schedule, such as it is, is so not conducive to playing a character who is supposed to be actively involved in just about everything ALL THE TIME and... all that other stuff. That and my waning interest in Death Note pretty much sealed the deal.

In other words, I will be dropping Light. Not now because I've made some promises to thread with people this coming dayshift, but once that dayshift is over, YEAH, he'll be gone. (I-I'll need to be working on end-of-quarter stuff during that timeframe anyway, so it all works out.)

With any luck, you'll be seeing me around again come next app cycle, during which I hope to be applying for a more suitable character for my current interests and availability (... which should have improved by then anyway since I'll have just that one character to look after instead of the three that were bogging me down in recent times), but if for some reason that doesn't work out, um... well, I dunno, that'll probably mean goodbye until the next NEXT app cycle. D: I hope not, though. Damned's been my "home RP," I guess you could say, for more than two years now and I don't want to be gone that long from it.

So, um, yes. Oh, and I'm announcing this early so that anyone who'd been wanting to play/apply for him who's either in the game or an onlooker knows ahead of time and has more time to work on an app. 8D;; And because chat made me. There you go. And I'm going to be in chat even when I'm "gone," so um. Yes.

Hey, it's okay. When characters become a drag and you're insecure, it's better to cut your losses than become bitter about playing them. And if your character is from Code Geass, I will love you. Because that icon and omg LELOUCH is just.... yes XD

It's why I left the last RPG I was on. It was just... the whole place and my characters went to shit. Anyway, that's done, no use wanking on the past!
