So my computer has decided to take 20 minutes to boot up firefox, randomly shut down my net, flash me the Blue Screen of Death, and to just generally be an all-around asshat. Been having problems for awhile now, but I guess it wanted to pick the week I start school to start being intolerable. At any rate, I'm doing everything I can to get it fixed, but I'm not sure what'll happen.
Gonna have to call slow posting until further notice. : / I have Internet access on my phone, though, so if anyone needs to get in touch with me I won't be completely out of pocket. Sorry to everyone I'm holding up!! D:

WELCOME TO MY WORLD.No, seriously. I feel your pain there, having a perennial fail!machine that can't even play YouTube videos and takes ridiculously long to load and shut down Firefox. =X I hope that in your case, it's an easy enough fix. Good luck on that! <3

And, thanks. I ran some scans and haven't picked up anything abnormal. Right now everything seems to be running okay enough, except for the occasional lag and net fail. WE'LL SEE HOW LONG IT LASTS. ;;

Best of luck. D: What fixed mine was running a registry cleaner and defrag...particularly the registry cleaner, or so I've been told.

And thanks!! I should probably try those things, maybe it'll help. Not too sure what sort of program I'd use for a registry cleaner, though. Seems like it's really easy to get a lousy one.

Try ccleaner (http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/?tag=mncol) for registry fixing and auslogic (http://download.cnet.com/Auslogics-Disk-Defrag/3000-2094_4-10567503.html?tag=mncol) for defrag, assuming you want free programs. :)
Registry and fragmentation problems are two of the five most common reasons for frequent computer crashes, so good luck!
er repost because I can't spell
