Weather Fail

Um um, oh shit. I'm so sorry for dropping the ball yesterday! We lost power yesterday and it only came back about an hour ago. Makati (the area I live in) is in a bit of a crisis right now. Crazy 2-day typhoon storms caused massive flooding around all urban and rural areas within Metro Manila. I have friends who're on their roof tops and people with no way to get home. That last picture was just taken this morning. D:


It's getting a little crazy. There were people in pool boats and a guy riding a surf board with a rope attached to it. The rescue teams had to come over to our village to help save people in houses with neck-high water, including my uncle's family who had to move to the second floor of their neighbor's house 'cause they didn't want to stay on their roof. The rain finally stopped around the same time the electricity came back, but the flood waters are still there. I'm playing home base right now and might receive a few refugees (relatives) within the course of the day (I live on high ground-- a condominium!) so if I suddenly drop off the face of the Earth you guys'll know why. D:

...lol, I wish I knew myself how many times I've hit the post button just in time to discover the internet, which was working twenty seconds beforehand, had inexplicably flaked out. Aaannnd this generally happens when I need to leave the computer- it is like it is WAITING FOR THE MOST OPPORTUNE MOMENT. It is highly frustrating.

In these situations, I feel like I could join a religion dedicated to the Firefox Lazarus plugin. :|

THAAAANKS. D: I think my whole family's a-ok! I haven't heard from my siblings yet but I know I would've if something had happened. I'm really just worrying for my friends. I have one who lives in a slightly provincial area. The mayor of her town was stranded on a dump truck, yelling statements at news crews. He said, "The whole town is almost 100 percent underwater." and though that could've just been him being melodramatic, 40 out of the 46 confirmed deaths have been from my friend's area and fciwehrw3rhw3rdf. *headdesk* I'll stop worrying once the cellphone lines are back up.

Not much on my part. I just got stranded in Manila, in a non-flooded area, because the streets were flooded and I couldn't go back home in Laguna. But I'm fine now.

I'll just share that Josh Groban (http://twitter.com/joshgroban/status/4406007517) loves us. GMA (http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=496123) should die in a fire. And this (http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=281979720576) looks like a themepark ride.
