Partly retroactive hiatus

So, um, yeah... As folks might have noticed, I have all but dropped from the face of the earth for the past few days. ^^;;;;; This is because my fail!machine decided to go batty on me again, and most of my free time at home has been dedicated to upgrading anti-malware applications and running scans that keep bogging down my computer to a grinding halt. =P I THINK I have it mostly taken care of, except that I'm on my way to work now and can't do any tagging until I get home later tonight at the earliest.

So, to folks I'm back-threading with vK, my deepest apologies, but I will try to get back to it ASAP. And also, please let me know if I'm apologizing too much here... I never know for sure when it's required or when it's inappropriate. ^^;;;;

<3 Perfectly appropriate post.

Let me know if you need a few days at the beginning of NS to catch up on backthreads.

I hadn't even thought about what she'd find. Oops. She will go looking for her box, so I should make sure I've figured that out. There's nothing exciting in it, except maybe some cosmetics.

I'll keep an eye out for him and probably move Taura into place just in time -- ICly it wouldn't take either of them long to get there. The clothing isn't a problem -- she hasn't seen enough of SC to even associate clothing with it. She might comment on them, but they won't alarm her.

That is a gorgeous icon, btw.

No worries! =) Just that (and you probably already know this, but just in case if not) you'll have to run the contents by the mods before she can claim them, so you have a little time in advance to do that if you haven't already.

True... unless there's an NS monster or the one SC patient up in Main-2C. ;) (In which case, let me know whether you want her to display her bad-ass fighting skills, or if you would want to just ask for clearance; I'm cool either way. :3 ) And yeah... I didn't know what all she knew about SC patients from the formerly-posted primer, so just wanted to give the heads up.

Thank you! ^___^ [livejournal.com profile] psyches made it. <3

Yup. Shouldn't be too hard to get approved since she's not going to find anything useful, and her "real life" is already approved.

Let's figure out any possible monsters when we see what's there -- and if nothing is we can decide if we want to request any then.

Awww. My computer is six years old (actually, we have two in the house that are both somewhat past their sixth birthdays), and I worry every day about stuff like this happening. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything comes together OK! :)

What kind of RAM does your computer take?

Not sure what type specifically (I'll have to check with the person who built it), but according to System Properties, it currently has 130,544k of RAM installed. And according to Device Manager, the processor is an Intel 82443BX Pentium(r) II. *Is very, very unsavvy when it comes to hardware specs* ^^;;;;

I'll check the type and see if I have any lying around! It's a long shot but sometimes we have extra RAM because of situations where there'll only be one RAM slot left and we have a chip with more to replace it. It's happened to me but I know we use different ones, so I'll check the electronics drawer since my parents just upgraded. XD

Like I said, though, don't get your hopes up. RAM is easy to install, but (reasonably so) it can be scary to open up a computer if you've never done it before. Maybe you have a slightly saavy friend?
