You've been doing a great job with Lana as far as I can tell. It's been a while since I've played 1-5, but she's spot-on in terms of her personality from what I can see, and you've fleshed her out nicely. So, basically, the only thing I can say is that... while I realize you're trying to make her more of a character in her own right, it might be good to have her thoughts more centered around the case she was involved in (the Joe Darke killings, that is), since that is a huge part of her life and the character as we know it. I feel like it's something that would at least be in the back of her mind quite a bit, so more general references to it would be good. This probably came up more in her threads with Ema, though, and I haven't gotten the chance to read those, so disregard if that's the case. /o\

I'd actually like to do that, too. There should be lots of it once she realizes Damon is at the institute to look forward to.

One thing I've been struggling with there is how to portray her not thinking about it, if that makes sense? I could step into semi-omniscient third, but I tend to try to keep that only for S.T., because it's an odd POV change to do but Stephenson does it a lot, and it's hard to balance without sounding godmod-y. If you have any suggestions I'd love them -- I keep wanting to write volumes of OOC notes on my tags because she's lying to herself like crazy in places.

Both of my other two are pretty self-aware and honest with themselves -- Lana is the first character I've played that isn't, and it's a challenge.

Oh, yeah, seeing Gant will probably make it come forward even more, that's for sure.

I see what you mean, yeah. I guess one thing you could try to do was have her start thinking something and then cut it off? Like, her breaking off the thought? I try that with Harvey sometime. I can see how that would be tough, though. :(
