Help me decide!

So, with my two main contenders off the list for various reasons, I find myself suddenly not sure who to app next round (yes, I'm already wanting to start working on apps ^^; ), and could use some opinions!

The list of potentials:

Magna Carta (VG) - Calintz
Tales of Destiny (VG) - Lion/Leon Magnus
Shonen Onmyouji (anime) - Abe no Masahiro
Yellow (manga) - Taki
Sailormoon (manga) - Yaten Kou

Haha, so many obscure or semi-obscure fandoms on that list! Though hopefully Shonen Onmyouji will get more popular once it comes out in north america. <3

Also, for the modly types! Since my first character will not have been in actual play for a full calendar month by the time apps close again next round, can I still app a nightshift character?

Yes, indeed, I specified manga because Yaten would indeed be a girl, all the time. *laugh* The other way is just ODD.

XD Yeah, totally. I had some...issues with the anime's take on the Star arc, to put it lightly.

I had issues with the anime's take on the SuperS arc, too. Like, you know, removing the Outer Senshi from it entirely. And the nonsense about the gold crystal being powered by dreams. WTF? *clings to the manga*

I know, me too. The manga is just infinitely better. I have the S and Stars seasons on DVD (the latter is fansubbed, obviously), because dang, they're pretty! But, still. In terms of canon? Manga all the way.

Taiki? Wow! So few people seem to like Taiki. ^^ That's cool. Were you thinking of anime Taiki or manga Taiki?

Honestly? Kind of a blend. I find the manga superior for background and plot, but the anime fleshed out the characterization more. Taiki's always been my favorite, though. And I think of her, and all the 'lights, as female (though Seiya may be a bit like Haruka, with as much mannish quality as feminine.) I admit I find the anime was a bit kinder to the Starlights in the end than the manga (where they get brushed away and essentially forgotten... >.>;) I'd personally been thinking of taking a Taiki from before the Stars arc, though, straight offa Kinmoku.

Frankly, I'm amazed that so many people remember/still like the Starlights. They seemed so unpopular way back when I was in Sailor Moon fandom. I'm very happy just to see that you were thinking of a Starlight and that others are cheering 'her' on in this little poll. ^^

I was considering Leon as a character I would like to try out someday too XD I haven't played in so long though so I don't think I would do him justice, but I would love to see someone playing the little grump.

Ohh, Yaten. This Usagi would not have met him yet in canon, interesting...

I haven't played it in a while either, but I played it so many times I think I have it memorised. *laugh* And fortunately it's a short game, not too bad to replay. :)

Yeah, I remembered you had taken Usagi from earlier. Would be interesting, Yaten disliking Usagi and Usagi being completely lost as to why. ^^

Yaten would be AWESOME--she would be so pissed about the whole thing, it'd just be hilarious.

I imagine the staff would know she's female, but would she look male at all? XD

As male as she ever looked, I suppose. *laugh* In short, not very. She never did have big breasts though, even in the manga, and the loose t-shirts at Landel's would disguise her gender somewhat. ^^
