Doyleton Purchase Guide and Request
If your character is looking to purchase something, you've come to the right place. Most of the businesses in Doyleton are willing to offer goods and services to Landel's Institute patients so long as they have the proper amount of funds in their cards. Though the overall concept is fairly simple, there are a few things players will need to keep in mind before making an IC purchase:
If your character plans to buy something, please fill out the following form first:
SUBJECT LINE: Purchase
Character: [Character name]
_username_here
Requested Item(s): What your character is looking to buy?
Current Funds: Tell us how much is on your character's card.
Do you need a NPC mod for this transaction?: Y/N
Day #: [location here]
Post this form to the appropriate location, and a NPC mod will approve/reject the request as well as let you know of the costs involved. Please do not go forward with the purchase until a NPC mod approves your request.
As usual, if you have any questions, feel free to ask here (make sure to mark the subject line as Question) or throw us a contact.
1. Not everything is up for sale. All shopkeepers will bar patients from purchasing anything potentially dangerous or cumbersome (e.g., knives at Kitchin' Fixins or larger electronics like computers).
2. All purchases will be confiscated by the military when the patients board the buses at the end of the day. They will be returned at dinner along with their usual NS-only items (unless they've misbehaved).
3. Patients can trying haggling for a better bargain, but harassment of any townspeople will not be tolerated. Anyone abusing Doyleton folk will be warned and punished accordingly.
4. A patient can make a purchase with someone else's card so long as the card's owner is beside them during the time of purchase. A good rule of thumb to use is RL approach to credit cards. If a patient can't prove they are authorized to use the card, they cannot buy. There will be no exceptions.
5. Patient purchases do not require a NPC mod every time. You may request for one if the circumstances call for it, but in general, if the patient just wants to buy something simple, go ahead and have them do so in your own posts (after you receive the proper approval for the purchase, of course).

Lil’ Tyke Toys
PURCHASE (and question)
Requested Item(s): All the suckers. All of them.
Current Funds: $5
Do you need a NPC mod for this transaction?: Probably not.
I'm not sure what five dollars worth of cheap lollipops looks like, so I'd need to know how many he'll have. But he's blowing his budget (and if the coupons do anything, those too) on candy.
Re: PURCHASE (and question)
One pound worth of lollipops (like these) will be $2.50. Uh...we'll say the lollipops weigh about 1oz so 16 lollipops total for a pound.
Re: PURCHASE (and question)
Purchase
Requested Item(s): However many of the highest-quality dark chocolate bars $10 will buy from the candy counter (I'd guess 2?).
Current Funds: $10
Do you need a NPC mod for this transaction?: N
Re: Purchase
no subject
PURCHASE/QUESTION
Requested Item(s): Various small chocolate/hard candies (think M&M's/skittles/gummis?)
Current Funds: $5
Do you need a NPC mod for this transaction?: Doubt it.
I know a lot of candy counters around here have deals where you can buy big bags of assorted candy for a price per pound, usually small things - M&M's, Skittles, Reese's Pieces, gummi worms, candy corns, etc. Any chance there's something like that here? :|a
Re: PURCHASE/QUESTION; KAZE, LOOK AT ME IF YOU GET THE CHANCE????
Re: PURCHASE/QUESTION
Hard brand name small candies (M&Ms, Skittles, Reese's Pieces, etc.) = 4.00$ a pound
Gummy types (worms, bears, sour candies) = 3.00$ a pound
Hard no-brand candies (candy corns, starlites, etc.) = 2.50$ a pound?
Does that seem reasonable?
Purchase
Requested Item(s): A toy soldier? Not sure how much each one would cost, but however much his funds can buy.
Current Funds: $5

Re: Purchase
If not, a 50pc set would be about 5.00$ all uniform green and the standard poses, slightly higher quality.
PURCHASE
Requested Item(s): ...a teddy bear. ;; A much smaller version of this bear, perhaps? (http://ec5.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Fk521x2OL._SL500_AA300_.jpg) Say between 4"-6"?
Current Funds: $5
Do you need a NPC mod for this transaction?: N
I do realize that five dollars can't really purchase you a quality bear, but I hope it could work for something small. Possibly a brand-name knock off. (unsure) If she can't get a teddy bear for her son then she is making him a squirrel baby this nightshift.
Re: PURCHASE
okita looks very serious about this teddy bear business.
