PLEASE READ ALL OF THE BELOW RULES BEFORE POSTING.

1. POSTING TO THIS MEME IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. This means that if someone chooses not to participate, you must respect that decision and leave their characters out of any crit you post. I think we could do with allowing canon updates.

Yes, I have selfish motivations here, but allowing them without having to give up an M-U to make them happen without forgetting everything might make people more willing to app characters in series that are still ongoing. (Not just talking about Homestuck here.)

Stick some limitations on there, like it can only be done once every 4-6 months or so. I don't think it's something that would be beyond Landel's capabilities.

I've been thinking about this as well since I have a character that I've kind of wanted to update but haven't been able to think of a way to do it other than dropping and reapping. And I wouldn't really be for that unless I he could remember his first time in Landel's.

Hi! First off, thanks for taking a moment to comment about your concerns. Second, it's interesting that you bring this up now, since this has recently sort of come up in conversation between the three of us.

Basically, due to the gradual shift of playerbase size and needs, we've decided we're no longer going to place so many restrictions on who can sign up for M-U and SC. In other words, instead of barring players who've had M-U/SC twice from signing up again, everyone will pretty much be allowed to do it as many times as they want. With this rule changed, canon updates via M-U should hopefully be much more accessible, and won't require the player to "give up" any opportunities and chances for development later.
