Because he's still not over the lack of Ritsuka ears to nibble. So he's all 'either ritsuka loves someone else, or he was hurt and I didn't protect him and I fail', so he's stroppy and bitchy. And he wants Kio so he can sulk and get upset and ask why nobody wants him !_! (besides Kio, who will never own him).

Maybe if Ritsuka held him.... ;)
