Just a quick question concerning Dr. Lecter's delightful trap...

How smudgey is the dye? Because I wasn't thinking and had Phibrizzo climb up Mason's back to get away from a monster, which is coated with the dye from the reaper's battle with the spikes (which dawned upon me after the fact). Would Hellmaster's hands/front of his clothes/possibly parts of his face be covered in blue as well or is it quick dry/not smudgey?

It isn't a dye per se. It's an antigen that reacts with skin cells and turns them a bluish shade. It's internal, not external in other words. It can't be wiped off, washed off, or anything of that sort.

So would I be correct in assuming if the spikes didn't pierce Phibby, he wouldn't have any blue on him? Even if he touched someone who HAD set of the spikes?
