Quotes + Meme

So, since I'm actually not 1) busy, 2) at work, or 3) sleeping, I updated the quote journal! Only a week and a day late. Sorry about that. Quotes are here and the next submission post is here. Also, the profile has been updated. Go me!

And as to not spam the lounge, a meme that floated around the journals a couple of months ago, but I can put it here too.

Ask the character(s) anything, and they will answer. Perhaps not honestly, perhaps not politely, but they will answer. Here's how it'll work:

To volunteer your character(s) for answering: Post a comment listing any and all characters you're willing to take questions for. Nightshifters and Doctors can be listed as well.

To ask a question: Find the thread for that particular character, and ask away. Any questions are allowed. And feel free to converse with the characters after they've answered.

Will answer questions for Monkey D. Luffy, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Claude C. Kenni.

[identity profile] murasaki-kaze.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Luffy: Many of your friends have been arriving lately. How do you feel about that?

Obi-Wan: ...dude, you're awesome. Is it weird hearing that you're from a movie?

[identity profile] rubbermancan.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I always figured they'd show up sooner or later! Except to help bust me out. I didn't expect everyone to be caught. Or for Zoro and Sanji to get caught twice! Hahahah, man, are those guys slackers or what?

But we're together now, except for Robin and Chopper...and some other guy I just heard about, but I'm sure he's just as awesome. I guess it doesn't matter as long as we all get back to the sea. They can't keep us here forever, right? :D

[identity profile] murasaki-kaze.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
♥ They got caught twice? XD;;

And right! Good luck~!

[identity profile] rubbermancan.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahahah, yeah, pretty weird, huh? They don't remember any of it, but I know what happened!

And thanks! :D

[identity profile] i-promised.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 10:30 am (UTC)(link)
Oi! Like you're any better off.

[identity profile] rubbermancan.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahahah, you really think so? xD

[identity profile] i-promised.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. T_T

[identity profile] braidless.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm...awesome, you say? Why, thank you. I'm glad you think so.

As for being in a "movie"...well, I think it's strange since I'm not entirely sure how stories of the Jedi reached Earthian society if it hasn't had any contact with the Republic in the first place. I suppose it's possible they're the descendants of colonists who disappeared after setting out into uncharted space. I'm sure there's a logical explanation for it.

[identity profile] murasaki-kaze.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
About Earthian things - what is your favorite food you've had here so far?

[identity profile] braidless.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, it's all quite interesting and different from other things I've had, so it's difficult to say. I'm rather fond of grilled cheese sandwiches, however. The crisp outside, coupled with the melted inside...it's very enjoyable.

[identity profile] murasaki-kaze.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Grilled cheese is good! Very greasy sometimes, though. You should have it with milk. :|

[identity profile] braidless.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I admit, it is rather greasy. But I think the overall texture makes up for it.

As for the Earthian milk...well, I suppose that's something I should try someday, though I'm content with juice and water for the time being.

HAY CLAUDE, it's time for a little imagining game~

Imagine that ... you're trapped in a closet for some reason.

Why are you in the closet? What's in the closet with you? Is there anyone in the closet with you? Is the closet comfortable? Would you like to come out of the closet, or is it a comfortable sort of closet?

[identity profile] full-score.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, what am I trapped in a closet for? Uhhh, okay...

...

Uh, I don't know why I'm in the closet. I guess there's...a bunch of coat-hangers and an old, moth-eaten sweater. It's kind of stuffy in here, actually. There could be someone in here with me, but it's kind of difficult to make out their face when it's so dark, you know? It isn't particularly comfortable, though, so I think I'll just stop there.

I'm not really the type of person to stay trapped in one place for too long. I've had to put up with enough of that in the past, and I'd like to think I'm done with it.

That was supposed to be symbolic or something, right?

[identity profile] k4t4str0ph4l.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Pfft, as if he isn't already in the closet so deep he'd need a compass to find his way out.

[identity profile] full-score.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
What's that supposed to mean?

[identity profile] full-score.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
You don't sound very convincing.

Luffy: Okay, you're a good kid, but 1). What is with the damn hat?

[identity profile] rubbermancan.livejournal.com 2007-10-25 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahah, yeah, I know I'm good. : ) Anyway, the hat is my most important treasure. It belonged to someone I admire a lot. I promised him I'd become a great pirate someday, and he gave it to me as a symbol of that promise. I have to take good care of it so I can give it back to him when we meet as fierce rivals! Only one man can find One Piece and be the Pirate King, you know! And that man is gonna be me. >D

Obi-Wan - thoughts on Schuldig? Also, any ideas/plans you might have regarding him or how to deal with him?

Claude - if you could ask any question of Dias and actually be guaranteed an answer, what would you ask him? Also, what would you do if you somehow came by the knowledge that Dias thinks Ashton would be better off with you?

[identity profile] full-score.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
If I could ask Dias any question and actually get a straight answer? Gosh, that's hard to say. I guess I'd ask how he was holding up and if he needed any help. I mean, this place is bound to wear down on a person, and even though he paints himself up to be this tough guy, I'm sure it's been hard on him. That awful ordeal with the mimic...no one can walk away from that unscathed. I think he needs someone to confide in, but I don't think he'd ever think of me that way. I mean, we are rivals, even if we're friends too.

[identity profile] braidless.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Between you and me, Schuldig seems like a troubled person with a lot of anger and trust issues. Given the nature of his abilities, I can't say I entirely blame him, even if I don't always condone how he treats others. It's truly a shame he doesn't have better means to preserve his sense of self. Perhaps the Order could have done something for him if he'd been living in the Republic as a child.

I don't particularly have any "plans" on how to deal with him. However, I wouldn't mind trying to work with him in the future. I feel that he often associates with people who try to use him, which does more harm than good. He would benefit more if he worked with people who weren't after his abilities.
