What? Another One?

I'd like to wait for the intros to be done, but I'm trying to procrastinate to be good and update my character journals with new content. And since this is very much like a meme that is buried somewhere in the lounge past, might as well play with it again?

So. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL PEOPLE HOW YOUR CHARACTERS FEEL ABOUT THEIR CHARACTERS, post a comment with all of your characters listed. For me, that'd I'd list Homura, Tatsumi (dropped), Hiei, and Ururu since Sano is so new and has interacted with two people. Anyone can reply to any comment, including the name of the character they want to hear about, and preferably the name of the character they want to hear it from. Dropped characters may be included in both offerings and requests.

Please please please, if you have interacted with ANY of my characters, comment? I'll probably still end up going through threads, but I'd really like to have some way of double checking. And I'll totally finish this time, cause I don't think I did last time. Um. If I didn't, feel free to whack me?

And also? I totally need a "tad's boredom makes memes" tag. Or something.

Z-ZORO. LUFFY. HOW. HE. THEY.

*ahem*

How does Luffy feel about Zoro? 8D

Luffy thinks Zoro is fantastic! After all, the man who's going to be the greatest swordsman makes the perfect companion for the future pirate king! As a result, he has a lot of faith in him, and doesn't hesitate to trust him with jobs or requests that the others might complain about or refuse to do (like saving Smoker, going after Nami, or not fighting back when people simply aren't worth hitting). Knowing Zoro's involved in a situation tends to put him at ease (at least, more so than usual, since it's really hard to get him truly wadded up about anything in the first place).

He recognizes Zoro takes his promises seriously, too, so it's a common thread they share, which becomes important considering they've currently got, like, two promises going on between them. ♥ Luffy also realizes that he'll lose Zoro if he ever does anything that compromises himself as a captain or a man, so it's extra motivation for him to stay on track. If Zoro has any criticism or advice, Luffy will hear him out and usually act on it, even if it's stuff that's hard for him to hear. In that sense, Zoro's kind of an anchor that's consistently been around since the very beginning, and Luffy recognizes and appreciates that, I think, even if he doesn't really verbalize it. But, then, he and Zoro kind of have this thing going on where they really don't need to verbalize a whole lot, which is really nice.

Luffy also loves teasing Zoro for his crappy-ass sense of direction. I mean, HONESTLY. WHAT KIND OF PIRATE GETS LOST ALL THE TIME? GEEEEEZ. >:[

He might have flashes of insight where he thinks that maybe there could be something else going on too, but it's never really occurred to him to try to change anything between them, 'cause, well, things are pretty good as they are! But he's always willing to try new things, you know~ :D ♥

lol, I already wrote a whole essay about this at [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto, but I never get tired of talking about their dynamic. :B

YOU JUST TOTALLY PWNED MY REPLY YOU KNOW. XD ♥

But LOL. You know what came to mind when I read that bit about Zoro being Luffy's kind-of anchor? Hee: THEY'RE BOTH ANCHORS. Except one sinks in the water and the other one has to dive in after him. omg my metaphors they cause the brain to bleeeed.

Man, if Zoro were to hear any of that he'd be flushing all red like 'n stuff. Then Sanji would have to come up with some other insult and it would cause all kinds of problems and then. ♥♥♥

BTW, Zoro wants Luffy to know that IT'S NOT HIS FAULT NORTH KEEPS CHANGING DIRECTIONS OKAY. >w

And here Ashton is with his hands jaunty on his hips, being all "I'M AN ANCHORS TOO."

[identity profile] i-promised.livejournal.com 2008-01-17 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
PFFT--AHAHAHAHAHAHA! omg. Why must it be truuuue. XDDD

Oh hey, hey you. Yes. You. I have something for you. o___o

[identity profile] nest.livejournal.com 2008-01-17 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. Naaahh, I just get tl;dr sometimes. 8D;;;;

AND THEY SHOULD MAKE AN ANCHORS CLUB. >: [ Ashton can come too.

LOL YEAH. I mean, I think this is stuff they're both at least kind of aware of, but, like, it's a different thing to actually discuss it out loud. Not that Luffy would be embarrassed. He's actually pretty damn shameless. HELL, HE MADE SMOKER BLUSH IN THE ANIME, HAHAH.

And Luffy wants Zoro to know that NORTH NEVER CHANGES DIRECTIONS. IT'S ALWAYS THE WAY THAT'S COLDEST, DUHHHH. 9_9

Claude about Guy, of course. ♥

[identity profile] nest.livejournal.com 2008-01-18 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
these memes always make me write so much, lol. ;;

Claude really likes Guy! Like, when they first met, he was kind of afraid Guy would think he was an ass or suspicious for accidentally calling him Gailardia, or, like, startling him in the library, but Guy doesn't get all bent out of shape, so that's a relief for Claude, hahah.

Talking to him is kind of like a breath of fresh air, because Claude is very interested in technology and is actually really knowledgeable in that area, but none of his Expellian friends care, so he's never really gotten to talk to anyone about it before. Plus, Claude's very impressed that Guy seems genuinely interested in new things, like Earth tech or science-fiction, which is really badass for someone who's never been exposed to other planets before. He's also touched/flattered that Guy wants to be the first to read anything he might write in the future. :3

Not to mention Guy is pretty easy to approach in general, and he seems like a good sense kind of person, which is something Claude can appreciate. The fact he answers his sometimes random questions without batting an eye is also a plus. :D Also, at home, people expected Claude to be his father's son, and people on Expel expected him to be this Warrior of Light, but Guy doesn't really have those kind of expectations, so Claude feels like he can be himself around him a little more easily, I guess.

One thing Claude's kind of worried about is that Guy might look down on him for being an Earthling, when it's technically his planet that's responsible for the mess everyone's in. But he really wants to help him and his friends get adjusted to the new area, since he thinks it's really unfair that they got pulled off Auldrant like they did.

So, yes. Claude's quite fond of Guy, and really enjoys spending time with him. It's something of a relief, considering how depressing Landel's is, and he thinks they'd make a pretty good team. Guy's definitely someone Claude wants to get to know better, in any case. ♥

also, why the hell do I not have a Claude icon for my personal LJ, I need to fix this. D:

The Gailardia thing just kind of threw him for a loop since not many people know that name. Like, he's fine with certain people calling him that, but when someone random comes out with it out of nowhere, he's kind of forced into a kneejerk reaction. Water under the bridge, though. ♥

It's kind of cute that they're in the same situation as far as wanting to talk about this stuff but not being able to because their friends don't really care either way. 8D

Aww, the no expectations thing makes me wibble. :3

Hmm, Guy doesn't really make any connection between Claude being an Earthling and them being caught on Earth. He knows that Claude has nothing to do with that, and really only sees it as a plus, since that means that Claude might be able to help give him more information about stuff.

Yeah, Guy's eager to see how they work together with night. It's all fine and good for them to be able to have good conversations during the day, but being able to make progress and get things done at night is really important. So yeah. :D

Lol, I can't ask for how Luffy feels for Brock since YEAH already been over that. Okay, so how does Luffy feel on Qui-Gon? And how did Obi-Wan feel about Darman?

[identity profile] full-score.livejournal.com 2008-01-19 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Luffy thinks Qui-Gon's pretty interesting! And, for some reason, he thinks it's kind of funny he took a book into the cafeteria to read, 'cause he didn't really realize the nurses would let you do something like that. (He still wishes he could bring food into the library, but that's beside the point. :*( )

He can tell Qui-Gon's a pretty clam, grounded sort of guy, and he suspects he's a good, kind person. He's also pretty curious about what kinds of things he teaches. It's a shame he didn't get to ask. BUT THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT TIME, AMIRITE?

As for Obi-Wan? He wasn't ever quite sure what to make of Darman. The knowledge that he was a clone from the future who was essentially created by the Jedi kind of weirded him out/disconcerted him. In a way, Darman kind of represented the dark times ahead that Obi-Wan had been warned about.

On the other hand, Darman was one of the few people from his universe who was in Landel's, and Obi-Wan appreciated that. Not to mention Darman always seemed willing to assist Obi-Wan in any way he could, and it was kind of nice to have someone from his universe who could also provide some extra insight, I guess. Now that Darman's gone, Obi-Wan feels like he's lost an important ally, and he hopes nothing terrible happened to him, though he has a bad feeling about his disappearance. :*(
