Light!! Oh, there should definitely be playing. This could lead to any number of horrible interesting things. What time frame did you take him from? I feel like I met you in chat and asked you that and then forgot, but I might be thinking of L-mun. *needs to take better notes*

Y-yes. |D;;; Um. I think that was L-mun you asked, anyway, since I tend to avoid AIM like the plague. I haven't even been in the chat within the past month, I think. I'm a terrible person like that. ANYWAY, Light was taken from... the very, very beginning of chapter 57, I think? Right after he's seen Misa-- wait, is that icon from Fight Club? Wait, I mean-- AS I WAS SAYING, he's from right after sending Misa off to go back to punishing criminals. If you want a precise date, he's from November 4, 2004. Or like, November 5, 2004 REALLY EARLY MORNING, as in before.. you know. That.

Excellent date choice. I'd imagine it makes for much more complex rp between Light and L than the end of that chapter. Er, the start of the next chapter? I'm forgetting when chapters break. Predictably enough, I took Mello from the end of chapter 99. After.. you know. That.

It has so far, yeah. |D;; Especially since Light figured it out after the institute did crazy experimenty thing on him and gave him the shinigami eyes and... other stuff happened. SO YEAH. And ooh, Light's going to be pissed about that if/when he finds out who Mello is in relation to the whole Kira thing. So very pissed. ... Explaining this will be hard without delving into what the that means, but uh. Has to do with a certain rule concerning pictures of people and what happens when that happens when you have the shinigami eyes. THERE WE GO.

Oooh, do you have a link to that shinigami eyes thread? I'm super-curious and I can't figure out how to access the character tags. As far as Light finding out, I'm sure that L would remember Mello, despite having last seen him when Mello was 14 it's not like his hairstyle has changed much WHUT and Mello would certainly recognize L. That should lead to some questions, unless both of them manage it super-subtly. And subtlety is not one of Mello's strong points, as you know.

Just out of curiosity, I assume spoilers are okay in-game? I can't think of how Mello would react to waking up in an unfamiliar white room aside from assuming it would be the consequences of the second of of those thats.

IT WAS STILL LIKE AWHILE AGO AND I WASN'T REALLY USED TO LIGHT AND I'M STILL NOT AND OH GOD PLEASE DON'T KILL ME), so uh. Yeah. It does seem pretty likely that Light'll find out, but I have yet to dedicate any time to figuring out just what the hell Light would do with that information.

Yeah, they're totally fine and pretty much a given when it comes to certain characters. I think people tend to stay away from threads involving spoilery characters for that very reason, but I dunno. People sometimes stick spoiler warnings in subject lines of comments, though. I'M NOT REALLY SURE what the SOP is for that kinda situation since I tend to cheerfully disregard it, but I'm sure you can easily find out if you ask a mod. |D;;; Should be cool, though.

I actually found it a couple minutes earlier through the very useful character log thingy in Light's journal, though I'll definitely need the tags for other stuff (AND SHUT UP YOUR CHARACTERIZATION IS AWESOME).

I figure that, for manga readers, not knowing the major plot points of Death Note is like not knowing how Fight Club ended, since it's basically impossible to talk about otherwise ("Uh, it's about this guy who finds a notebook that can kill people, and, um, then some stuff happens. Yeah.") I'll assume that limited spoilers are okay because GAH I have no idea what I'd do otherwise.

It really is, isn't it? I also totally blame you for the fact that I really, really, really want to rewatch Fight Club right now. Anyway, yes, limited spoilers = totally okay, and REALLY, there have been lots of characters who have had things similar to that happen to them that have mentioned it in their intro posts, so it's... well, really nothing you need to worry about mentioning. And stuff. 8D;;
