been lagging on my timeline post so...

I have Dante leaving his room here, but this is my first time doing the hallway jumping and room browsing, so... how do I get Dante to somewhere outside (I'm open to suggestions;;;;)? Is there any interesting rooms he can stop in that are on the way? (would anyone like to encounter him?)

Somewhere outside as in somewhere beyond the institute walls? Either way, you can use the maps to see which areas are connected to which, though. :)

As for the moving itself; you simply make a post in each of the corresponding areas, connecting them with links. So if you want to move Dante from the hallway next to his room to the following hallway (which would be the M-C Block), you start a new thread in that corresponding area post (if there isn't a post yet, you make a new one. [livejournal.com profile] damned_links is very helpful to find the posts and to see which rooms already have a post, but also check the front page!). In the new one you also post a link saying 'from here', which links to the area Dante had just come from, along with whatever you want to write. Once that's done, you go back to your previous post and reply with a 'to here', which links to the area Dante just headed in. And so on. The same as it was with Doyleton. Try to avoid posts that only say 'from here to here', though.

If you're confused you can always look at how other muns have done this.

You can't skip from M-C Block to say, the Sun room, however, so you have to post in the corresponding hallways. Also, if you visit a high traffic area like the Sun room, there's a possibility of a NSer or a SCer, so keep that in mind.

I hope this had been helpful?

Don't have any characters free right now, sorry D:

It's the first few hallways that take a lot of skipping ^^' You don't need to describe it in two paragraphs though, especially if your character has already visited it (a lot). A sentence or two is usually enough. Once you're interacting with someone the moving goes slower.

Your welcome! Glad I could help ^^

I wanted to say thanks for this! I was going crazy, trying to figure out how Siegfried-mun was moving Kio around the place and now I have the link bookmarked, in case I move him solo XD

So, um, yeah, thanks <3 ♥

Sam explained the major points above, but in case you missed it, there's also a detailed guide (http://damned-info.livejournal.com/13209.html) for nightshift travelling in the OOC Guidelines section of the synopsis. It explains all the how-tos and the what-and-what-not-to-dos of nightshift (and Doyleton) travel.
