So, here's what's happening! At the beginning of 3rd shift, Tsurugi is going to hand off a folded note asking patients with radios to leave their name and radio number, so they can create a handy-dandy directory everyone can copy down. If you would like your character to be listed:

• Comment here with what information your character would write down. Be realistic as to whether they'd sign or not.


• During either 3rd or 4th shift, ICly mention your character getting the note, signing it, and passing it on. You do not have to mention who they got it from and who they passed it to (unless it's a threadmate), since it would be too much legwork for us to keep track of who has it when. It's okay to assume it's been passed between different rooms so it can reach more people, excepting visitors.


• If you want you want your character to be able to copy down all the information, just say that they saw it again before dinner at the end of 4th or at the beginning of your dinner post.

And that's about it! If you have any concerns, send me a heads up! Otherwise, just toss your character's information here if you think they would participate.

Is anyone particularly keen on reaching the entry room first/close to reaching it? And if so, would you be alright with another person (Dr. Facilier) joining you?

Putting this up preemptively so things can be organized. I'll post Snow starting crap up tomorrow, so people have a day to get settled or start stuff in their own threads if they want to. Once I've posted him, I'll post about it in the comments.

If your characters are involved in bus riot shenanigans, please track this post. People can use it to ping each other and request NPCs for their own thread if it gets to that point. Also if there are any questions or anything, feel free to ask.

Putting this up early so there's enough time for any potential coordination that may be needed. So here's what's happening, guys. Next shift Snow's gonna be trying to incite a riot (again) and is going to try to hijack a bus. Needless to say, it's not going to work at all... but he's gonna try, dammit!

Now obviously, no one has to do anything. Everyone on the bus can just stare at him and then pretend he doesn't exist for the rest of the shift for all I care. However, I want to know if there are people who would want to join this cause. Will there be anyone jumping in to help him, either in rallying people together or in trying to take over the bus? Are there people who'd try to stop him/them? Or any who might help the nurses (giant man hitting women, wut >[ )?

I'm also making a post about this because obviously it could potentially affect everyone on the bus depending on the response, and I'd rather it not get in the way of people's plans/important conversations. Advanced warning that this will be happening on Bus 3. So if you'd rather your characters not be at all involved, go to one of the other two. Of course, if no one's getting involved, then he'll just get sedated and everything will go on like normal.

I'm still kinda working out the details of exactly how this is going down in the first place (there is not a lot of room on school buses), so I figured I'd hear from you guys first!

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! And for those of you tuning in for the first time, welcome to you as well. A few of your fellow players (created by Serey and currently maintained by*: E, Eryn, Kaze, and Sarah) are bringing yet another tool to help you guys out during Nightshift: damned_links!

For those of you who are new and don't know what damned_links is, it's just a listing of links to every location posted to Nightshift. That's right--no scrolling back to find the location you need!

A few guidelines!

-Please check BOTH the listing AND the main comm before posting a new location. We'll update the list often, but sometimes you guys are just way too fast for the links crew! So avoid duplicate locations. They confuse us and everyone else. (If we see a duplicate location, we will probably contact someone, usually the poster of whichever instance has no replies, and ask them to move their post to the other instance of that room so the duplicate can be deleted.)

Your browser's "find" function, usually accessible from CTRL-F, can help you determine whether or not a location has been posted to damned_institute yet: just do a search for the name of the location on that page.

• Check The Maps (or the more-interactive damned_maps still on LiveJournal) for the names of locations. Use ONLY those marked names AS WRITTEN. That way people will be able to find locations they need more easily, and we won't have to look at where you came from.



• If you happen across a broken or incorrect link, comment to the list and note which one it is (and the correct link, if you're feeling generous). One of the links crew will comment back when it's been fixed.



• If duplicate links happen, they will be marked on the links page. Use the earliest one, please, unless your threadmates are already in the duplicate.



• If the list does end up going un-updated for a few days, the Archive Page for the comm works just as well for a quick overview of what's been posted and what hasn't. CTRL-F is helpful in that situation, too.

Any useful links posted in the Lounge (monster request, room descriptions, notification posts, special event information, etc.) will also be posted on the links page.

I'll keep this short and sweet. It's been a long time coming, but Sunny needs a break. I'm hiatusing for the rest of dinner shift and for NS; Matt will be back in action next DS. I'll still be working on those backthreads, if no one minds continuing with me, only slowly? And I'll still be up for NPC things this NS, I just need a break from your regularly scheduled threading. I'll still be around to handwave things, should the need arise.

Gonna be on SLOW POSTING until probably the 30th or 31st. I've been kind of on an unofficial hiatus the past few days, as I've been busy with projects, but I will attempt to start posting again from here on out. Current shifts will be prioritized, but I'll do my best to keep up with my backthreads as well.

Basically I have a exam (they say it's a quiz, but with the amount of prep needed, it's an exam) in a couple of days that I really need to focus on, so I'm hiatusing until then. Also since I sort of have been ridiculously slow of late, I thought I would see if people wanted to OOCly work out how threads went instead of waiting for me to have time to tag them again. I will be perfectly happy if people want to continue threads still, but I can't promise tags until after Tuesday, potentially.

I know, everyone already knows I'm being slow now anyway, but it makes me feel better to make it official. I'm doing pretty badly right about now, on bedrest for the next two weeks due to some complications, and medications have me either brainless or completely knocked out most of the time right now. Hopefully all this crap will clear up in the next couple of weeks, but I'll probably be ridiculously slow for the next two weeks, maybe longer.

This is affecting Matt, Naraku, and any and all NPC threads I'm doing/could possibly do.

On the Naraku front! If you're heading through the Rec Field, if I haven't tagged back within a day and you don't really want a confrontation, I'm giving my go-ahead to... go ahead, lol. As many have noticed, I have been failing at posting lately. This is mostly due to me working furiously on a side-project to help me make food money this month.

OKAY so it's time for the massive HC meeting (/sob) and I figured I'd throw out an idea of how to go about this since it's going to be a pretty big thread.

What I was thinking was: Okita posts first assuming that people are there. He'll do a huge info dump on where the club has been going and updating people on some stuff. Then people can reply to him or break off into smaller groups. Example:

        Yomi posts to Taura and starts a thread
    Kenshin posts reaction
        Yuffie posts to Kenshin and starts a thread

If there is a question directly to Okita or a suggestion for the group, write QUESTION or SUGGESTION in your title post so everyone knows to look at it. Then it'd probably follow meme/forum rules and we can just go post crazy. 8(

Kabby, Tiffany, Aison - Looks like Scott and Senna are about to head into the same hall where Peter and Claire currently are. Do we want to have a quick wave across threads as they head their separate ways? A quick interaction? A time warp to avoid the issue entirely? I'm cool for whatever! Just wanted to ask before assuming anything.

Back from hiatus, so Javert and Soma will be re-entering the fray tonight!

Just a quick note for everyone with M-U: Javert has a short errand to run, but he'll be heading straight up to the M-U corridor afterwards. Is anyone else going up there (so he'll have someone to talk to), and does anyone with M-U need someone to pull them out and investigate the crime scene afterward? Let me know!

Since Okita's on hiatus, I had Taura put up a bulletin note suggesting people meet at 1-West.

If other people/characters are OK with her taking charge for a NS, she'll see who arrives and have a discussion as people do about where to go. If anyone is NOT OOCly okay with this, please let me know.

(If you're OK with her trying OOCly but your character will object, that's fine; I'll just play tags as they come in.)

She's likely to suggest that people either try to find Marc and look for ways to get to the third floor. The basement will be a distant third; she's frustrated with how often they've gotten cockblocked in the Sun Room, but if people have their heart set on it she'll let them try.

Heya!  Um, Just was hoping to get some organization done in regards to who all was planning to come along with Russia and Japan this NS? I know Kaze is on hiatus, but I think Japan had talked to Scott, Snow, and possibly Amaterasu about going on a trek up to patient possessions.  It's fine if you already have some NS plans, but if you guys still wanted to have the group run up there, I thought we could make arrangements here.  Please let me know! Thanks! :)

For those joining in the band thread next shift - Scott, Sora, Venom, Tifa, and tentatively Roxas - I have a suggestion if this group is going to get this big: how's about we make sure to keep tags pretty short once introductions and such are all done? Stay light on description/inner monologue and focus more on dialogue, almost like action posts, only in prose. That way, things should go faster and everyone will get their turns more regularly. That sound okay?

Also, if anyone else wants to join in, say so here!

Irene! ellie! Kes! What's happening with the Javert/Mello/Matt/Crane thread? IDK if Irene's on plurk, or else I'd have asked there. ellie and I are both okay with whatever you guys want to do, if you want to backthread a little and give the three boys another scare?

...to be honest, I'm pretty sure we'd be up for more action, but we just need to get together and figure out if we're backthreading or not.

Okay, so! It seems like there is a lot of backthreading that still needs to be done in terms of rescuing the M-U patients. The thread for the Disciplinary Therapy Corridor has been made, which means that we can still do this.

But anyway, what I'd like to do is get an idea of how many groups are going up there to save people. This is what I know.

1) Peter Parker is on his way there to save Brainy (with Grell in tow).
2) Doctor/Dean/McCoy are on their way to save Donna.
3) Peter Petrelli and Claire are on their way to save... anyone who needs to be saved.
4) Javert is also heading there(?).

I know that L and Soma have also been M-U'd, but I don't know if there are specific groups going to look for them.

There is also a lot of fear gassing going on, but I think that both Peter groups are almost out of the thick of that, at the least.

Basically, I don't want my group (Peter and Claire) to step on any toes, so! Were there any M-U characters who wouldn't mind having them come try to help them, once they get there? Obviously threads will mainly need to stay separated, but I just wanted to iron that out before I ended up crashing a thread by accident or something. If it turns out that all the M-U characters are already spoken for in terms of rescuers, that's fine too! We can always have Peter and Claire fail to make it to anyone, if need be.

Though, as a note, I think it'd be kind of neat if Peter could run into Soma, if only because he'd be returning the favor after the whole Roland/Indra thing. :3
