Anyone without nightshift plans or wanting a safe place for their characters to discuss business over drinks is free to visit Ilia's bar, Tifa's Place! It is now officially open right over here!

If you're confused about what I'm talking about, there's an OOC reference as well as an IC Bulletin Post! Even if your character did not respond to the bulletin post, they are perfectly free to come and visit the bar. As long as they have something to trade for booze, be it as simple as a scalpel or bandages or information.

For those who want to know, Ilia's stash currently contains:
--A half-bottle of wine
--1 bottle of vodka
--3 or 4 homemade beers (gifted by S.T.)
--a 6 pack of low point daquiris
--a 6 pack of low point beer (similar to 'Murrican Budweiser)

For mixings, she has:
--1 bottle of orange juice
--1 bottle of cranberry juice

She also has some Nutter Butters for snacks, and a can of fruit cocktail, but she might save those in case the homemade brew runs out. ;)

Thanks to everyone interested in participating! I hope she gets plenty of customers tonight!

Calling one and all! Ilia has a supply of booze to share with whomever wants to tip a glass this coming Nightshift! IC information can be found at Ilia's Bulletin Post and other characters are free to ask questions there, too.

Basically, Ilia will be running a bar out of her room, F16, throughout the whole of Nightshift 69. Characters can come in pairs, groups, or alone, as long as one of them knows to ask for "Tifa," as stated on her bulletin. I'll be keeping Ilia open for interaction to anyone who comes to her bar or, with prior ooc discussion, I'm also up for letting people who choose to come in pairs or groups to handwave her interactions so they can do their business over drinks.

Drinks are available to people who are willing to share information or give a small trinket (anything, even stuff as small as candy or scalpels or bandages are acceptable). Also, Ilia comes from a time when there isn't really any stated drinking age, so she's not opposed to giving alcohol to minors if they can afford it. And since Ilia only has a limited supply of beer, daquiris, wine, and vodka, she can't afford to keep refilling glasses until someone is drunk, so keep in mind that servings will be limited, so your characters are not likely to get drunk unless they are severe light-weights.

Keep in mind, while the bar will not be an every nightshift occurrence, I plan to have Ilia sporadically advertise for it so this is not in any way a one time thing! If you're interested but can't make it this NS, there should be opportunity in the future for your characters to raise a glass among friends. I know a lot of people are involved with their own plots and plans, but hopefully this will add an alternative for those with characters who are either free this NS or in need of a change of pace.

And that's about it. :) Please post here if you think you'd like to participate so I can gauge interest. If you have any ooc questions, I'll do my best to answer promptly!

Hey, everyone! After talking things over, we've decided we'd like to try starting a traitor subplot to tie into the current Monster arc. Basically, potential Traitors would be asked to stir up fear and suspicion among the patients by using whatever means available to them ([community profile] damned_bulletin would be a great avenue for this). In other words, traitors would have the role and responsibility of instigating a witch hunt during the Monster plot.

One possible idea would be for Traitors to organize groups to go after 1) patients exhibiting the recent bout of strange symptoms, 2) patients who have physically turned into monsters, or 3) both -- sort of like how clubs have traditionally worked, except with a darker purpose behind it.

Obviously, Traitors would be rewarded if their efforts yielded some results. What we're unsure about is what it would take to get characters to try to turn patients against those infected with the Monster symptoms, and probably kill some infected patients in the process.

We've come up with a few possible rewards on our own. These include:

- Un-brainwashing a prior visitor and returning them to their canon world

- One Nightshift spent with another patient in the Traitor's homeworld *

- A new ability added to a character's set of allowed powers **

- A character who canonically has no abilities receives a new power **

- A sentimental memento from home

- A canon weapon **

- Protection from future failed mission consequences

- An item that grants temporary protection from SCers

- Increased odds of dropped items/rare drops from monster encounters

* Possibly subject to the Homeworld rules from the last Portal Event.
** Subject to current power rules & guidelines.

However, we realize every character is different, so we'd like to know what sorts of things would be incentive for your character to turn Traitor. This is NOT a place for people to get their ideas approved, but instead a suggestions box for you as players to approach us with your ideas for consideration later.

Keep in mind that Landel won't promise permanent freedom or unreasonable boosts in combat abilities, and he'll likely just grant one reward for your character's efforts. Also, he probably won't want to recruit characters infected with symptoms, but if you think your character could turn Traitor over the course of a future plot, feel free to come up with a potential incentive anyway. We've even got a handy template for you!

Comments will be screened.

If you have a general question about how this relates to the Monster Plot or possible ways for traitors to instigate a witch hunt, please use the following template:

Alternatively, you can privately contact us with questions over E-mail, Plurk or PMs.

Thank you! We're looking forward to hearing from everyone.
