Do computers during NS turn on at all?

I think I've heard of/read threads where characters tried to do things with them, but I don't recall exactly nor have I do I remember any word of mod on the subject (unless I'm just fail and missed it being covered somewhere). Just curious as to what happens if someone tries to operate one: blank screen, creepy messages, or just a dead hunk o' plastic?

Edit: Shira, it's about Daedalus's computer. Hime's going to try turning it on.

For stuff in a doctor's office I would ask the player of the doctor in question.
