Doctor Polls!

So, here we go! Doctor time is almost upon us, which means this needs to get sorted out fast. First of all, keep in mind that each player can only have one of their characters in therapy. There just aren't enough doctors to account for all of the patients, unfortunately. (Remember that you can switch which character gets therapy next time this happens, so it isn't like it'll be set in stone if you end up wanting to change things around.)

Some of you already have assignments, but a lot of those have now gotten misplaced due to a few doctors dropping out. But as mentioned, you are allowed to switch, especially since we have a few new doctors. Here is the current roster:

Anyway! If you currently have a character that is assigned to a doctor, take POLL 1.

If you do not have a character assigned to any doctor, take POLL 2.

EVERYONE HAS TO FILL OUT THIS POLL. If you don't fill it out, none of your characters will be in therapy.

Also, the rules for how we do all of this:

1) Each doctor gets an equal amount of patients: By dividing the character count of the community, we figure out how many patient slots each doctor has.

2) Players with a previously-listed character who want that character to keep their doctor WILL keep their slot. HOWEVER, IF YOU DO NOT VOTE IN POLL 1 EVEN AFTER WE PUT UP A WARNING/REMINDER POST OF WHEN THE POLLS CLOSE, YOU FORFEIT THAT SPOT. (This, of course, excludes people on excused hiatus.)

3) Players with new characters or who want to change doctors get randomized according to who they ask for, and who gets first priority depends on the luck of the draw. (Characters listed as "don't care" will fill up the empty slots at the end.)

4) If, when your character comes up, all slots are taken for their first-choice doctor, your character defaults to their second choice, and if those slots are all taken up, your character defaults to their third choice, and... we hope your third choice doesn't get filled up. D: (We're making the results of the polls public so that you can see which doctor ends up being the most popular and maybe make a decision based on that if you aren't really set on anyone.)

5) PLAYERS WHO DON'T VOTE IN EITHER POLL WILL NOT GET TO HAVE ANY OF THEIR CHARACTERS IN THERAPY. We will put up reminders to make sure everyone sees the polls, but once they close you've lost your chance. Sorry. :\

I fail because... um... I've never heard of any of these doctors before (or rather, before Damned). ^^;;;; I would gladly take any suggestions on who my best bet for this character would be. XD;

Depends on what you're looking for in therapy sessions. Do you want him to be frustrated? Screwed with? Think he has the upper hand? Just have relatively normal sessions?

Weeeelll... thinking about it, I've had him screwed with plenty just over the past several in-game days (he had the double-whammy of M-U the previous NS and the "RL event" during the past DS). And when he "comes to" the next DS, he's going to be especially pissed at Landel. >:[

So... I should maybe give him a nominal break for once and give him the false sense of having the upper hand. X3 (Which, in essence, is still screwing with him, but still. X3 )

I try to get on AIM when I'm at home, though it's a little dodgy sometimes now that I've moved. Either my lappy's wireless card is getting full of fail or my roomies' base station is, because I often lose my connection briefly at 15-30 minute intervals now. I just realized this; I have exams from mid-January 'til mid-Febuary-ish. This will at least take a chunk out of the next NS, but possibly also out of the next DS (I'm not sure yet though since the shift calendar doesn't go that far). Is it possible for Tyki to have his doctor shift somewhere after that date? Considering there's a high chance of me having to take a hiatus in that period and...yeah.

Just so you know, it's gunna be pretty hard for some Doctor-muns (I know I'm one of them) to manage their doctors over the Holidays due to vacations and such. I'll be at Disney from the 16th - 22nd of Dec and then from there it'll be hitting family homes left and right until New Year's.

Have zero idea what kind of connectivity there might be at Disney, or at some family places, so I can't say that I'll be able to be very consistent when therapy comes around...

Is it okay if I ask to have Sam's therapy shuffled to another dayshift altogether? Like, just not this coming DS. @__@ I'm running out of room to have him get things done due to Ruby's coming and the RL event so a;dljs if I could get all of my shifts for this DS free, that'd be awesome.
