I'm posting again? YES. Here to announce that nightshift is going to be delayed a little because we need to poll you guys for...

VISITORS.

... I'm getting fond of doing the big font thing. I feel like it needs sparkles.

Anyway, this is simple! If you want your character to get a visitor (someone from their "real" family who closely resembles/acts like someone from their canon who isn't already at Landel's) tomorrow in-game, fill out the poll below.

You can only have one of your characters get visited. Even if you've had a character get visited before, you can have a different one do it this time if you want... Though if you've already gotten a chance and you're not that set on doing it again, we'd appreciate if you didn't, just because the NPC mods will be stretched thinner if there are more people to cater to, which will lead to slower posting all around. Still, not saying you can't do it if you really want to! ♥

Enter in the text below something along these lines: [Character you want to get visited], by [Character visiting them] (Relationship to Character)

It would. Thing is, this would actually be the second time he's seen "Jenova" in Landel's visit-y things, and... STUFF. Continuity and all. D: You'd probably need to read what happened last time I think...

So, these visits aren't actually the people that we sign up for, but an Institute made-up creation?

...? Wha-- OH. The "visitors" are the "real" relatives/friends of those in the institute. In other words, if Cloud was visited by, say, his mom, it would be "Mrs. Something-or-Other Smith" rather than "Mrs. Something-or-Other Strife." They're just their to enhance the idea that the institute's liiiiies are really the truth, and just in general fuck with people's heads by showing them their loved ones going all "I hope you recover from your delusions." Um, that kind of thing. Did that make any sense?

... I actually keep track of each and every one of Kadaj's threads in his LJ, so finding it would be... really, really easy. I just haven't read it in forever and I get the feeling I sucked, so now I'm like D: at the prospect of someone reading it. ... Wanna see? D:

OH! That's a really neat idea! I think that would make my character very confused, depending on who was actually coming to visit him. Yes, that makes sense. >.> I better choose someone that could mess him up. :D

Haha, I chose Cloud's actual mother. He hasn't seen nor thought about her in years, so he'll get at least a guilt trip out of the deal even if she says nothing to him. XD

Awww... I have to say that I wasn't that impressed with Jenova's performance. She could have twisted things so easily. D: She could have had phrases that would reflect her... well er, personality? *loves playing Jenova* :D

Well... I personally think she could have thrown in key phrases like "You know the planet can't stop me" in reference to getting her way. She also could have had more twisted expressions... she is an 'alien' after all. I realize she was probably supposed to be a normal human being, but if we look at how Sephiroth reacts and her natural abilities as described by Aerith's mother, plenty could be added.

Though, I think the back of Kadaj's skull would have blown off if she had said, "I'm pregnant" XD But seriously, that would just be for my own amusement, and I can't see it happening in a IC setting... unless Jenova really wanted to crack Kadaj.

I suppose it all depends on one's interpretation-- and on what kind of effect was desired. I dunno. Also, I'd be hesitant about throwing in things like that into the conversation when doing so would be contrary to what Landel's was trying to accomplish in the first place by parading these visitors around in front of their patients. So... yeah.

I honestly don't know how Kadaj would have reacted to that, but head exploding = possibility, I guess. IS HOJO THE FATHER? DDD:

Not sure. I think it could be written in a way that would reflect Jenova's overall goals as a sentient virus, but also be twisted in a way to belittle Kadaj and force him to endure with the situation poorly. But yes, it would really depend on one's interpretation of her purpose.

I mean... not... well, you have to understand, the whole thing with the visitors is this whole horribly fucked up thing wherrre... hang on, let me see if I can find it. Here. (http://community.livejournal.com/damned_bulletin/15365.html) So they're supposed to be "normal" but... AH, WHATEVER, it's hard to explain and I'm sick/tired/vaguely delirious at the moment, so nevermind. I can try tackling it in more detail later.
