I thought it had been a while since this was done - a couple rounds? Two or three? Anyway, I thought we could do it again, cause I know people like to play with the fact that some characters will sound similar due to their voice actors.

So: List your characters, the voice actor you connect with them (whether dubbed or original if from a video game/anime) and other notable roles they have done if you wish.

This is always fun. For example, I love that fact that L and Usopp share the same Japanese VA.

Hrm. I read the DN manga before watching the anime, so I had a slightly different voice in mind for Mello and both startled me a bit. The closest VA was Nozomu Sasaki, who was pretty spot on aside from sounding older than I'd imagined (which makes sense, considering he was 39 at the time).

I did too!! It's one of the few I like enough to get on DVD (and it helps that it's actually been released in the UK too ^^; ). I thought 26 episodes was a great length. My only minor problem with it was that I would have liked a bit more backstory for the characters and maybe a bit more expansion of the war. But it was so focussed on plot that it didn't matter as much.
