Meme Time!

Due to finding the concept rather incredibly interesting, and personally being a bit bored, I has a meme.

What would your character(s) do if they broke out of Landel's, and found themselves stuck in 1990s-ish New Jersey?
- Alternatively, they're "cured" of their delusions and are released instead of escaping
- Assume their powers are restrained as they are in the institute
- There's still monsters at night~
- Lulz = A++

Go!

Luffy: At first, Luffy would be in shock over the awesomeness of the 90's, especially since it's more advanced than his own time. That would be pretty short-lived, though, once he realized that, oh wait, he really wants to go home now, kthx. D8 He'd probably comb everywhere he could, looking for a way to get back, and wouldn't be all that discreet about it either. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he just got himself thrown back into Landel's just by acting so batshit.

Of course, he'd have his nakama to look after him, though, so maybe they'd help keep him out of trouble, and they'd just...tirelessly search forever for a way back home. There's no One Piece in the 90's. ;A; What would he have to live for?

If Luffy were "released" as Timothy Gatz...well, I'm not real sure. His "real life" background has never come up in-game, so I don't really know. I guess I ought to think on that. HUMM. I still think he'd be pretty crazy, though.

Obi-Wan: He'd stick close to Qui-Gon, of course, but would be pretty :( over how backwards Earth is. If it turned out they were stuck there for good, I agree with Fam in that they'd probably settle down together somewhere, but they'd probably devote a lot of their time trying to unmask other villains like Martin Landel or something, I dunno.

He'd be pretty disturbed once he discovered the Star Wars franchise, though. Just sayin'.

If he were released as Ezra Klein, I imagine he'd go back to teaching little school children until Andy became an adult and came back to murder him or something, oh snaps.

Claude: He wouldn't escape unless he knew all his friends were with him. He'd sooner rot in Landel's than leave any of his pals behind.

With that said, if he did manage to get out, he'd likely take being stranded on 90s!Earth almost unnervingly well in the end, especially since he's kind of had his time in Landel's to get used to the idea and expects it to be a problem once he gets out anyway. Actually, he'd be pretty interested to see first-hand how the people of 90s!Earth live, and he'd probably grow to like it. I don't think he'd ever give up hope on finding a way home, though he'd be prepared to accept the possibility of being stuck there forever if it came to it. In the meantime, he and Guy could haunt the local Best Buy or something, AMIRITE?

If he were to be "released" as Thomas Appleby, I imagine he'd return to his miserable post in the military, secretly wishing his delusions of other worlds and kick-ass friends had been real, bawww. :*(

Edit: They (I swear I meant 'they'!) can get arrested together? :,D

Provided the police manage to keep Zoro in sight.

LOL. Well, they say true friends are the ones who wind up in jail with you.

Yeah, I imagine he'd just wander off and, like, totally miss out on being captured. He'd be like, "DAMMIT WHERE DID EVERYONE GO. >:("

And what's amusing me is Obi-Wan can probably perfect the :( face IRL. I was about to wibble at him possibly teaching kids until I got to the end of that CONGRATS you made me loller.
