I Want To Know About You(r Insides)

It's that time again. No, not hammer, miller or party time. It's tell-me-about-how-this-ability-will-affect-your-characters time! Since Stein's a doctor (...for now), this is probably only relevant if you end up as his experiment patient, but if he sees you in Doyleton or some other time, it could matter! So, without further ado, look under the cut for...

Soul Perception
Stein can see your soul. Yes, that thingy inside that's the very essence of you.

In Soul Eater, souls are very important; they're what powers pretty much everyone's abilities and what kind of "wavelength" your soul gives off says a lot about you. The size, power and quality are all different factors in your own abilities and compatibility with others. Certain people, mostly weapons meisters and demon weapons, can use Soul Perception, the ability to, as it sounds, perceive souls. While anyone can see the souls of the dead in the moments after someone dies, it takes Soul Perception to be able to see the souls of the living. At its most basic, one can simply detect a soul, it's location, existence and size. More refined Soul Perception can detect qualities about the soul like its strength, how it looks and things like if it's a human, a witch, a weapon or an animal. Stein's Soul Perception is refined enough that he can look at people's souls and even get a general feel for their personality type and current mood. A video reference can be found here at 4:55.

While in Damned, Stein will be able to use Soul Perception. However, there are a few limits: He can only view souls in detail that are right before him. Because he's part of the daytime staff, if he encounters a non-human soul, he'll simply see a human one. He can, however, still detect personality traits and mood if he's looking, which combined with his normal powers of observation, make him very perceptive and good at reading others. There are three exceptions to the "humans only" rule:
1) He will still see the souls of witches as they are. In Soul Eater, witches are female magic users that often have an animal association, though there has been a male character who stole a witch's powers. Witches are all born with their powers, though they have to work to refine them and all of them are, as their power grow, affected by the "Sway of Magic", an instinctual need to cause destruction. If your character has magic powers that they were born with, they will register as a witch. Not mutant abilities, not special abilities but blatantly magical, spells-and-sorcery magic. If they have some kind of instinctual destructive urge similar to the Sway of Magic, they may seem similar.
2) Stein can see souls that are on the path to becoming Kishin. In Soul Eater, the souls of people who commit sins and eat the souls of the innocent in order to gain power become corrupted, turning into Kishin eggs. If your character has murdered innocent people (defined as pretty much anyone who isn't a murderer or otherwise blatantly evil) and especially if they have eaten or taken in the essence of those people some how, they are on the way to becoming Kishin in Stein's eyes. I'm lookin' at you, DDS demons. Anyone who may have used to souls of the innocent for power (like, literally took their souls and used them for a power-up) also count even if they didn't directly murder them.
3) If your character does not have a soul, Stein will know this. He may be confused, but that won't change the fact he won't see a soul where there should be one. If your character is explicitly stated in canon as not having a soul, Stein will see nothing. If you are organic and your canon does not say otherwise, you have a soul. Demon, angel, whatever, unless your canon says you have no soul, you have one. If you are an inorganic, this can depend. More scientifically sound inorganics, such as Star Wars droids, definitely lack souls. The Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz, or the guys from Transformers? I'm inclined to think have souls.

Basically, please post with your characters and answer the following:
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? If not, you're done!
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well (for example, Stein's soul has a stitches and a large screw sticking out of it). Go ahead and choose a color as well (except Purple; Purple is reserved for witches) and mention anything else you think would be apparent.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)?
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)?

EDIT: So, a few more things came up:
1) A lot of people have come with the "I was killing the opposing side, am I on the path to kishin?" question. I'm going to say in war, against opposing soldiers, no. In regards to guards doing their job... that depends. Chances are, if you were one of the good guys and they started it, not really. Kind questionable. Basically, the Kishin thing is for if you killed someone not lookin' to get killed. Basically, where you killing people for the purpose of killing them for fun and/or profit, rather than self-defense or as a soldier of war just doing their job?
2) Uh, yeah, forgot to mention: Soul Eater has Shinigami. Stein will recognize those too. However, there's not a lot of canon reference for what makes a shinigami, as there have only been two. Well, we'll just go with "if you're a shinigami/death god/Reaper" in canon, he'll note you're a shinigami as well.

I was going to give Heat a break, but then I changed my mind. :|

1) Do they have a soul? Yes.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Grumpy, growly, hungry, but the savage beast has been tamed a bit at the time I've taken him from. Still easy to anger. Very confused right now. Only distinguishing mark would be the atma on his arm, unless we wanted to count his demon form, which is a big, red, two-headed monster with wolverine-esque claws. Color would be red.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? No.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? You betcha.

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)?

Yep, Dean Winchester has got himself a soul.

2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul.

Dean spends a lot of time acting like things don't bother him, but he's not exactly the one to really dig in his heels with the Winchesters despite his go-get 'em appearance. Not sure exactly how his would look, but I think his color would be black or something, if anything 'cause of his car and he loves that thing to death to begin with. I guess glossy or dull black would be dependent on his mood since that's how it tends to kind of reflect over in the show. He's also got a mass of insecurity issues that he tends to also just kind of ball up and not really want to talk about, especially from S2.

3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)?

No.

4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)?

Not sure, Dean's overall a good guy, but since he's a hunter, Dean's killed people who are not strictly considered evil, but nevertheless had to be taken out as a result of posing a danger to others, whether it's because they weren't aware of attacking others or because they were possessed by demons using them as meat suits.

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? I'm gonna go with yes on this.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Logical, structured - build on reason and fact. It probably looks like a computer built it. But there's also a feeling of emotional warmth, rather than just pure logic. It would also have the Brainiac logo on it, since everything else associated with him in any way does. Oh, and colour would be pale green.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? Nu-uh.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Nope.

Argilla
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? If not, you're done! Yes.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. . Laid back, moral, motherly, oddly innocent in some ways. Very pragmatic. She has an atma mark on her left breast. Colour would be pink!
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? No
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? Indeed!

Allelujah
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? If not, you're done! He does!
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. The most prominent thing is that his would be kind of split between him and Hallelujah so there's some dissonance there. So one part would be fairly calm and quiet, the other is a raging psycho. Colour = blue/gold
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? Nope
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Allelujah has killed a whole bunch of people. Some were soldiers, but he did destroy a facility inside which there were possibly hundreds of children who had been used as experiments. He destroyed it while knowing that they were in there, so I'd say yes to this!

Ronixis
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? If not, you're done! Yes
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Very upstanding, a generally good guy, moral, willing to do the right thing whatever. Maybe a little bit of a maverick. Colour = Red
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? In Star Ocean, to use heraldry/magic, you have to have the genetic ability called 'blessing of Mana' which a person is born with. Ronixis has this despite not learning Heraldry until much later, so I'm gonna' go with yes for this.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? No

Disto time!

1) Do they have a soul? Yes!

2) A short, general description of their overall personality: Dist is a snooty drama queen. He's very narcissistic and finicky and tends to disregard people he doesn't immediately give a damn about. I'd say he uses and manipulates people but he's not clever enough to be exceptionally good at it, although he DOES play both sides of the fence if he thinks it'll get him something he wants. He's also a mechanical prodigy; he loves to tinker and build things, and while the things he makes tend to be very flashy and dramatic and brightly-colored, they do tend to Get The Job Done, whatever that job may be.

Um. His soul is probably faggy pink like the rest of him. 8D And glittery.

3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? Not especially; anyone from his canon can use artes[spells], but he's not a prodigy with them like a certain canonmate. He prefers his technology.

4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? He's not above killing people, and actually mocks the main party on at least one occasion for protecting people that he doesn't consider worth protecting, but he's not really specifically a murderer when compared to some other characters. It probably IS safe to say that he's killed "innocents"[he isn't Dist the Reaper for no reason] and he was plotting with Van to kill a whole lot MORE innocents, so Stein can take that as he likes.

Sam Winchester:

1) Yes.

2) Headstrong and equally vengeful at times, but he wants just as much to do the right thing and help people...though when his brother is in danger, "the right thing" basically = "save Dean at all costs." Mutual codependent relationship with his brother. Your typical nice-guy to outsiders and often plays the straight man to Dean's more colourful personality. He's got a tattoo (here) and various scars. Colour, probably something earthy like brown. There's more detail in his profile/character app if needed.

3) No.

4) OK IDK IF THIS COUNTS BUT. While Sam's not necessarily committing a murder, he is drinking the blood of a demon who's possessing a human body (who's brain dead, but nevertheless) and is doing so to gain powers. It's canon that he does get...not precisely corrupted per se, like he still wants at his heart to save lives, but he certainly gets fucked in the head. Or more fucked in the head. tl;dr: Sam begins to act like an addict at his worst. So make of that as you will? Feel free to ask questions/clarification, obv. :3

Also ditto @ killing people who are technically innocent but were a danger in one way or another.

Spoilers for Kuroshitsuji :(

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yes, I believe he does? He's a death god, so it's a little difficult in that he can't die and is technically in the middle space between God and the mortal world.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality Extremely flamboyant, religious, bloodthirsty. His color is Red and his symbol is the Rose - and Death. Grell has an overwhelming feeling of Death around him.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? I don't think so? Death gods don't use magic per say, but they aren't mortal and they most definitely are 'magical' in that they are gods.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? His job is to kill people and judge their souls, then send them on their way to either Heaven or Hell. Grell, however, killed off the approved Death List as Jack the Ripper to help a human woman complete her revenge, and therefore has murdered several innocents at her side.

L - Errr, short personality summary? (It was like 5000 words in the app! XD )

1) Yes, he has a soul.
2) L is intelligent, usually calm/subdued, focused, highly analytical, and so dedicated as to be a workaholic. His demeanor is relatively pleasant, if often serious (his sense of humor is very dry), but it becomes obvious in interaction with him that he is extraordinarily callous and competitive in pursuit of his work-related goals; he really has no personal life outside of work.
Color? My guess is grey.
3 & 4) Has a normal soul: no magical powers, no murders or personal involvement in deaths of innocent people.

[identity profile] tiny-chef.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
Remy -

1) Yes, he has a soul.
2) Remy is good-natured, sometimes condescending, very much a teenager who wants to understand himself and be understood and accepted. He could best be described as having an artistic temperament; he's ambitious, loves his "art," and is thrilled when people like his work. He will complain and waver, but he has a well-developed conscience, and he stands by his friends.
His soul would be rat-shaped and probably pale grey. (Whether or not you think it would have a chef's toque or something is up to you; I'm not familiar enough with Soul Eater canon to say.)
3 & 4) No powers, totally innocent.

Yuffie Kisaragi

[identity profile] thatdamnedninja.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Do they have a soul? Yep.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; S-Short? Mercurial. Driven. Generally quite friendly, strives for a good future. In love with life. Has the sheer presence to make up for her small size. Passionate, energetic, confident, sly. Very independant, and can be self-centered (she's a little on the morally ambiguous side, too). Very Loyal once she gets attached, a bit of a smart-aleck and has no trouble speaking her mind. Rough around the edges, occasionally cutesy, and always herself.
2.b) Color? Orange.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? ... Sorta? Yuffie can use materia to cast spells, and the casting is fueled by her own energy. I'm not sure if this counts, so. Your call!
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? She's an eco-terrorist and a ninja, so I'm going to say yes for this. |D; She's killed ShinRa's soldiers and Deepground's soldiers (though the latter probably define as evil red shirts more than people who're just doing their jobs).

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yes.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality. Vain, self-centered and flamboyant. Howl craves to always be the center of attention, however, at the same time he's pretty antisocial and keeps everyone at arms' length. He's cowardly, a liar and a cad, but deep down is a good person with strong morals. Howl has no heart, which makes him particularly selfish and unable to really love someone. His color would be jewel-tone green, and might have a heart-shaped hole missing.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? Yes. Howl uses traditional, straight-up magic. So... I guess his soul color would actually be purple? WHICHEVER.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Nope. Howl is pretty innocent, and hasn't killed anyone.

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yep!
2) A short, general description of their overall personality. Ethereal, fearless, relaxed, curious. Kaworu is very interested in people, and loves so easily that it's a little ridiculous. However, though he's very kind, he's also rather cold and is not empathetic or bothered by the concept of death. He's very inhuman. His soul would be orange and glowy with a big round red jewel - his Angel "core" - stuck in the middle.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? Kaworu's special abilities aren't traditionally magical. However, he did/does have an instinctual urge to trigger the Third Impact, which would have killed every existing human. It's less of a problem since the elements involved don't exist in Landel's, but if faced with them, Kaworu would have to try. He'd probably opt to die again instead, but the biological imperative is there.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? No. Despite his instincts' best efforts, Kaworu never killed anyone. |D

4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? Definitely.

Jun:

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yes!
2) A short, general description of their overall personality: Jun is, surprisingly, very warm. He cares a lot about people and believes in the power of ~dreams~. However, he's also good at manipulating and getting to where he needs to be to actually be able to help people. He also has some pretty deep issues with his both of parents and regarding memory. As for color? I'd say a light blue.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? No!
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Yes. orz Jun has stolen the "dreams" of people, which, first of all, literally stops them from living any longer, until they become an empty shell.

Jomy Marquis Shin:

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yes!
2) A short, general description of their overall personality: Jomy looks older than he is, which is apparent as soon as you actually speak to him. Always attempting to maintain an image of being calm, Jomy's most defining trait is that he cares too much about everything, especially his people. He can be childish at times, though, because he never really got the chance to grow up, having been thrust into the position of "leader" just after his mentor died and at the tender age of 14.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? Yes! He is, in a sense, a mutant, as he evolved from normal humans, but he was born with his powers (though they were dormant for quite some time). He's a telepath and has some other powers like shooting lazers and making psychic shields and flying (yes all of my canons are strange orz) but most of those have been zapped away when he came to Landel's.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Jomy has probably killed some people, but he does repent afterwards, so it probably would.

1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yes.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Resolute, determined, creative, intelligent, caring and protective. Despair has been a way of life for so long that it probably qualifies as part of his personality too, now. ;_; I see his color as a kind of blue-gray; his only distinguishing mark would be a nasty but mostly-faded scar over his abdomen.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? Nope.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? It's possible that not everyone he's killed has been "blatantly evil" as such, but they were all lawful targets in a war, most of them shooting back at the time, so I'm going to say no.

1. Now there's an awkward question. Transformers have sparks (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Spark), which contain their personality and memories and for all purposes the same things as souls. However, at Landel's he'd probably see it as a human soul rather than a blobby glowing thing.
2. Scourge is generally cowardly and selfish, with a voyeuristic streak that makes him inclined to poke his nose into people's business if he can avoid getting in trouble for it. He's also aggressive in situations where he's sure he's on the winning side and doesn't mind fighting. Defining physical traits would probably include his beard and whatever strange images you'd get out of his fingernails (possibly a pink border?) I don't know if the Decepticon symbol would be something that would appear on it. Color would be a dark blue.
3. No.
4. No, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was Galvatron's next cunning plan.

Lockdown
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Sort of. His real (robot) body has an energy core that can basically qualify as a soul, called a Spark.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Lockdown is a sadistic, borderline-sociopath. Being a bounty hunter, he likes to hunt others down for money and trophies. He's also got a cooled, laid back air to him and is actually very smart and sensible. His soul would probably be green, and might have spikes on the shoulders, along with a hook for a right hand, and black marks on the face.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? Nope
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? Well, Lockdown has killed innocent people and doesn't regret it one bit, so he might.

Dahlia
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Surprisingly, yes.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Despite the sugar-sweet front she puts up to get people on her side? Evil. Words cannot express this enough. Evil, evil, evil. Selfish, murderous, sociopathic, uncaring, manipulative, hateful, and pissed as all hell. This is the woman who's convinced a man to kill himself rather than betray her. Also: this (http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/91510387/14141028) is pretty much her soul. Yes, it comes with the braids too.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? She was born with like. A shred of spirit medium powers, but she can't actually use them. I don't think that counts.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Yes. :( She's killed about three innocent people (and helped killed two more here, thanks Sync ♥) for her own gain. She'd dip her hands in a vat of dead babies if she thought she could get something for herself out of it. Bitch is fucking crazy.

Luxord
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yep. Just not a heart.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Empty: he's a Nobody. Aside from that, maybe just an obsession with time and games and, oddly enough, being good-natured about a lot of things. He's a gentleman! One that never takes anything completely seriously and occasionally does horrendous things for the sake of the "game", but still. He's not evil, just has no morality core, if you will. I imagine something silver? Or at least with a clock/card motif.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? Maybe? Nobodies are all "born" with magic, Luxord's being Time Manipulation (not that you see him do much with it aside from time limits and an eerily well-kept track of time) and control over game pieces. What.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Yes. The Organization did go around drowning worlds in Darkness, effectively killing I can't count how many innocent people, and taking their hearts for Kingdom Hearts. As much of a gentleman as he is, Luxord still played a part of that completely willingly, even if he was doing it for his heart and not power (unlike Xemnas).

Venom
1) Do they have a soul (See Exception 3)? Yep.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Sad, lonely, jaded, and surprisingly innocent for also being incredibly hateful with both the world and himself. He isn't necessarily a bad person (or at least not evil), not in himself, but he does do bad things for the sake of Zato-1's memory. Just, idk, really, really fucking misguided and stubbornly refuses to see it as that. I imagine something white with this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v258/KittyNakoji/veneyecopy.png) on it.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar (See Exception 1)? He can use Magic (capital M in canon, idk why), but he wasn't born with it, I don't think. So no.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg (See Exception 2)? Maybe? He goes out of his way to never kill or harm an innocent person (seriously, even the thought of doing that is suffocatingly painful to him), but um. Accidents do happen and sometimes people just get in the way of the mission. If he has murdered an innocent (either through a hit or just by mistake), it wasn't for his own power. The only power he cares about is the Guild's.

Loz

1) Yes. Well, his soul is made from 1/3 the soul of someone else. Don't know if that would be noticable or not.
2) Loz is a very sensitive and emotional young man who's not very smart. He sometimes cries when he's upset. He also loves fighting, but his childlike mind thinks of fighting as playing. He's violent and perfectly willing to carry out evil plans. However, he does have a sense of loyalty to his friends. His soul would be black, and his silver hair might manifest as silver on the soul's head.
3) Well, he was born with some magic powers, so maybe.
4) He was never shown killing anyone in canon, but I think he might have at least killed one person in his life, and he almost killed some people. So, it's possible that he might qualify as that.

2) Pure freaking evil. He's manipulative, sees everyone else as things to be used, phenomenally sadistic, and always making plans. I'd say his soul would be blood red, with these spider limbs (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/paragon/images/7/79/421px-Rndr_Lord_Recluse_02.png) coming out of his back.
3) No.
4) Definitely. To start, It's known that he murdered two of his closest friends personally, and at the very least ordered the murder of his father and elder adopted brother. He's an Evil Overlord (capital letters necessary). He murders lots of people.

HK-47
1) Nope! He is sentient, because he's never had a true memory wipe and he's at the highest classification of droid intelligence by the way Star Wars handles these things, but I doubt that would make a difference. If it did, he has a kill count of over 500, which he wouldn't mind showing off in the slightest.

TK-622
1) Yes.
2) Incredibly loyal, controlled, self-depreciating, and very, very serious when it comes to the Empire or combat. His soul color would be ash gray, possibly including the outline of his stormtrooper armor. He was created for the job, so it's got to be a major part of him by now.
3) No. (lol, magical stormtrooper boy. I like this idea.)
4) Probably, yes. He wouldn't have really meant to, but with the nature of the areas he was stationed in (insurgents hiding amongst the civilian population, rebels using civilians as shields, etc), he might very well have shot civilians at some point.

Beelzemon
1) Yes.
2) Loud, enthusiastic, quick to get pissed off especially if his friends are in danger, and feels really, really awful about what he did when he went crazy. He forms incredibly strong bonds with friends and will do just about anything for them, including sacrificing himself. He's Virus type, so his soul would probably be black, and since the data that make up Digimon and their souls are basically interchangeable, he'd look like he does in the show (http://digipedia.db-destiny.net/encyc/images/beelzemon_blast.jpg) by the end of the series, minus the giant gun. It's also hard to see in the picture, but he has clawed hands and a third eye in the center of his forehead.
4) Oh does he ever. He killed a load of Chrysalimon just for the hell of it and absorbed their data (basically, absorbing them/their souls), and then killed Leomon, doing the same to him. He also absorbed Caturamon's data after the Digimon was killed by someone else, and siphoned data from Taomon and Rapidmon without killing them. So... yeah. Bad boy.

1. Souled!
2. The soul would probably be a soft, light blue color. There may be darker stripes (http://www.britfilms.tv/images/news/abe%20sapien.jpg) across it and frilly gills along the sides.
3. Do they need to be inbred or does this apply to people who use magic but do not have inborn magical ability? If the former, no.
4. Souls seem to be more likely to use him than the other way around. I'm looking at you, Krauss.

1. Believe it or not, this sociopathic old bastard does have a soul, indelibly tainted though it may be. X3

2. At his very core, he is perfectionist, arrogant, narcissistic, imperious, domineering, vengeful, disdainful of just about everything and everyone he considers worthless... and pretty damn evil. He cares a great deal about outward appearances, and he will do whatever he can to conceal -- or better yet, vanquish -- any weaknesses or flaws he finds in himself. He is poised and composed most of the time, except when someone exposes any of his personal failings, in which case, his deeply-buried rage will surface. Whenever possible, he will find a way up to and including murder to covertly make others take the blame for him, even when he knows he is the one responsible for his own wrong-doings. As far as the color of his soul goes, if I'm understanding this right (and let me know if I'm not; I can't see the video, so if there is a text reference out there, I would love to see it), probably very dark shades of blue and gray.

3. Nope.

4. Let's see... he killed Edgeworth's father over a mere court penalty, then later plotted the death of another defense attorney and framed Edgeworth for it in the hopes of having him executed... I'd say yes. XD

Kurogane
1) Yes
2) Like a dog - fierce at times, but very loyal and ready to protect what he cares about. KURO'S SOUL IS BLACK LIKE THE TEARS HE CRIE-- His color'll be red.
3) No, and he hates witches. One in particular, but anyway. He does have some magic on him though, through means of a curse, if that would register?
4) Maybe, maybe not. Murderer isn't the term, but he's killed many who came after his Princess. Technically though you couldn't say that the ones he killed were blatantly evil (two sides to everything, yes?) Uhm... I guesss go with whatever the ninja populace general consensus is on that?

Brook
1) Yes
2) ... Kinda all over the place? He's rowdy, loud and fun-loving, but has been very lonely and can become quite deep when he wishes. He believes in keeping promises no matter what, so much so that even death is not an excuse for breaking a promise made. Brook's official colors are white and black, so his color will be gray. Can souls have Afros?
3) A witch? WHERE?! *cowers*
4) We'll say that killing rival pirates don't count as being innocent, so no, he doesn't.

Donna
1) Well, that depends on who you're asking... Yes
2) Average. XP Deep down Donna is a woman who just wants to be as normal as is possible but who thinks, howeveer, taht she isn't very important. She covers this personality by outwardly beign outspoken, loud, and domineering. Donna's soul is Auburn
3) Again, it's who you ask Nope
4) Not intentionally? :x Let's say no because it'd get complicated otherwise.

Sokka
1) Yes
2) Sokka is a pessimistic realist (yeah, one of those). He's also a bit all over the place though. He sees the reason in things, but can end up throwing reason out the window when it comes to his friends/family being in trouble. Sokka's soul is bluuuuue!
3) Nooooooo
4) Double noooooooooo

1) Do they have a soul? Yep.
2) A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Stein would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Reckless and not entirely sane, and also enthusiastic and well meaning. Canonically his soul is white, but souls didn't start appearing as different colours until later, so I'll say brown. Since you said Stein can't see non human souls, I guess that's it.
3) Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? No.
4) Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin-egg? Um... I don't think so. He killed someone who asked for death and can easily be brought back to life, does that count? I'm pretty sure everyone else has been a murderer or planning to commit murder.
