Since we realize it has been a source of confusion, Erin has kindly update the first and second floor maps and labelled the hallways for the purpose of making nightshift posts. This obviously can't apply for this nightshift, but from here on out all nightshift posts should be labelled exactly as the map instructs. If any posts are made that are titled differently, we'll have to contact the person and ask them to edit it. Sorry to sound harsh, but it'll help avoid further confusion!

Also, we discussed the issue of individual room posts more and we've decided not to have them at all from now on. If people are in their rooms, the thread can just be made in the hallway that the room is in (with the room number in the subject line), even if there are going to be a lot of characters there. (It's the same as a large thread in a dayshift post, essentially.) There was concern expressed over the fact that it would be flooding someone's inbox, but that's what happens to anyone who makes a dayshift thread, so we don't think it should be much of a problem. If you have questions about this, though, feel free to comment! I'm sorry for not getting back to people's original comments about this, but since we changed things around, I figured I would just address it all like so. :3

Sorry to say that it is.

I'm off to go camping in the middle of nowhere for the weekend and run around the woods like the nerd I am with other nerds. I'll be back Sunday, but depending on how drained I am, I might not be able to post until Monday. I'll be around before then though, so I'll get myself caught up in current threads.

TK and Claire-mun: Since I don't want to hold either of you up, feel free to skip Faust until I get back. He can just follow along quietly. ^^ It's what he does.

I think that's it.... Yes.

Have a good day!

Right, so... Today is my last midterm, and then I go home for a few days. This means lots of posting time for me, yay!

But first! I must hiatus for two days or so. I've got the exam, and then driving back home, so I'll be gone until late this evening, and then my cousin's wedding is tomorrow, which will consist of the entire day.

So! I might be able to post a little tonight before I go to bed, but then I won't be back until Sunday morning. It's a short hiatus, I promise! I won't keep you waiting for too long! ;-;

Until then,

Kura (Kurama/Yuffie/Tsuzuki/Duo)

Hokay!

So some folks already know this, but my long-suffering Frankenstein of a laptop, Scorpius, gave up the ghost today. Funereal services to be held Sunday, send flowers, etc.

What this means is that Fey is now extremely limited as far as computer time. I've got my desktop, but I can't sit at it for very long. So until next week when a replacement laptop can be acquired, I am going to be posting not nearly as much as usual.

For the monsters I'm NPCing, I can find folks to take over those threads so you guys aren't getting held up. For my characters.... well, I will be slow. I'm sorry! It's hopefully only a few days.

Questions for me can be sent to my email, ladyfeylene@gmail.com. I do not check my Yahoo account anymore, save for once a week or so.

I'll be on AIM when I'm at the computer, and I'll try and remember to put up an away message when I'm not. But if I don't respond, it's probably because I've wandered off to lay down and forgot to put up an away message.

I...think that's it.

Court brought up the issue of "inbox flooding" for people whose initial area posts incur a ton of responses (like in the case of hallways for room posts and . . . like all the dayshift posts), so I thought I'd see how the "Comments: Don't E-mail" setting works.  I'm disabling comment e-mails on this post.  I hope that setting will only apply to the e-mails I would get just from posting THIS part and that it leaves all other comment e-mail behavior (from posting in threads) alone.

So let's see what happens.  If this is a favorable solution, I shouldn't receive e-mails from commenters, but anyone who posts a comment and gets a reply should get an e-mail (if they have their accounts set to e-mail, of course).

READY?  SOMEBODY POST A COMMENT AND SOMEBODY REPLY TO IT AND report back XD

EDIT: I'd also like to add that there's a fantastic Firefox extension called Livejournal Addons that, among a ton of things, lets you "subscribe" to a thread (or a post, but it's trickier for a post), and it'll check it/them at intervals and let you know if it's been updated and you can visit it from the extension.  I find it pretty useful.

EDIT2: looks like the "allow comments: don't e-mail" function, located under the post body on updates/edits on the livejournal post page, is a viable solution for people not wanting to get slammed with e-mails when they receive the dubious honor of making an area post.  It only turns off e-mails you would normally receive from just making the post, but threading response e-mails, including any the poster participates in, are still issued as normal. :D

It also turns out that you can toggle this setting by editing the post (thanks [profile] zeus_incarnate and [community profile] haruhiism), so if you forget to set the option, or you only want initial comments e-mailed to you, you can come back and change that option.

I was so worked up with getting River and Saber to their respective meeting places, that I did really find something for Ashe to do. Anyone want to adopt her? Please?

Sorry about this, but I'd best make it official. My life at the moment is not being kind to RP time, and it's not fair to hard Big Boss from someone who could be more active with him. Maybe when my life calms down after exams and stuff, I'll re-app, but right now it's just not feasible. Thanks anyway, it was fun while it lasted for the two threads I managed. ♥
