Sorry for my posting fail today, I ended up not sleeping well before class so by the time I got home afterwards I was exhausted and pretty much just crashed. Still half-asleep and going back to bed shortly. Anyway. The other part (ie, plans)!

So, a brief moment of clarification first regarding party times! No matter what timezone you're in, the parties should start at 6:00 PM wherever you are; I posted the times in EST in case I made any mistakes in calculation so that people could check the EST time against their own timezones. So the 1:00 EST starting time for the GMT party should be 6:00 GMT, etcetera.

Also, you can show up early to the parties! In a sense, anyway. The OOC party chats will be open anywhere from thirty to forty-five minutes in advance, mostly for coordination between myself and the fellow organizers, but we won't mind if you drop by to orient yourself in the least. And if you have any last-minute costume randomization requests, you'll probably want to catch me early. The IC chats will open at the stated party times and we'll direct you there when it's time if you're in the OOC chat. If you come in a bit late, you can use the handy chat room list below to simply invite yourself. (A note of party etiquette - when a new player enters the IC chat, please announce what your character is doing so that the new player and their character(s) know what's currently going on. Example: "Schuldig: *is molesting Yohji in a secluded corner*")

IMPORTANT NOTE: While you're in the party, you need to be in the OOC chat as well. ALL OOC TALK WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE OOC CHAT. The party chat is strictly IC. This separation is mostly due to the fact that with so many people, one chat would simply be too crowded for both IC interaction and OOC babble to take place at once.

Finally, I'm going to describe the setting of the parties here, since they're all going to take place in the same environment (albeit different locations) and it saves time to describe the setting here rather than copy-pasting the description in every chat. So, without further ado, this is what your character(s) will be greeted by when they enter the party, as directed by the oddly formal invitations they've received requesting their (costumed) presence at a masquerade.

One final note - sometime during the progression of each party, there will be an unmasking, after which characters can take off their masks and, if they so wish, their costumes(assuming they have something else to change into...). This will be on a case-by-case basis in the parties based on when seems like a good time for it. :3

Just a quick heads up that my internet connection is once again gone, and it's not likely to return until Monday. Providing they actually fix the problem this time, that is.

Now, I know MOMO's supposed to be somewhere, and Fleur was planning to run into someone as well. I understand if the people who were supposed to be involved with those characters don't want to wait around, so feel free to continue on if you'd like. Otherwise I'll get those two out as soon as I can come Monday--or whenever the internet starts working again at home.

For the last two days, I have been without internet (I'm hogging a computer at the university right now). I have no idea what is going on, but the internet company says in no real way of actually addressing the problem when I will have internet back. Usually, the internet goes down for a few hours, not days.

Sorry to everyone I had plans with, but Hohenheim (only_logic) and Cloud (1mperturbable) are once again on hiatus. As soon as I get internet back, I will be posting for them. Right now I have no idea how long that will be.

The computers in the research library are turned off during the night...I assume they can't be turned on, right?  And are they in any way portable, or way too heavy/locked down/etc?

And what's the year/month release of the most recent medical journal?

Just thought I'd give you guys a head's up, especially Cloud-mun.

I'm going for a walk in the Lake District tomorrow, starting at 6m. I think I'll be back before 9pm? Ish. Somewhere around that time, anyway.

At any rate, semi-hiatus tonight because I actually want to get to sleep before 4am, and total hiatus tomorrow. It depends on how dead I am tomorrow evening as to whether or not I start posting again as soon as I get back. But, if not, Yuffie'll be back in action on Sunday!

Slow posting will start again on Tuesday the 15th (until Saturday the 20th), because I'm going away to stay with friends. I should still have internet, but I won't have access to it as frequently as I do at home.

EDIT: Okay! So it looks like the party is going to be on Friday, July 18th, or next week. What time do you think guys? Some people said they can't be home until late and I know I work until like...5pm so do you want to put it around 7pm (JST) to allow people to come home and eat and whatnot?

Possible, I say, because we're having wiring issues thanks to my mom's (AWESOME NEW PINK) laptop interfering with the I.P. Addresses of our other two computers at the moment. Right now, my dad's is working and is the one I'm currently on, but the laptop is.... I'm not sure, and my computer EVEN THOUGH IT'S CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO THE MODEM is refusing to connect because I think the laptop stole it's I.P, or something.

Whatever.

SO! No idea how things are going to work out, but if I don't get my computer connected again, it means I gotta work from this one which my dad has priority to. He goes to be earlyish (specially since it's Friday and such), but it means no net for me during daylight when he's awake.

Of course this could be a false alarm, but in the meantime, while I do have internet access for 1 outta 3, I may as well let everyone know!
