Okay, on Monday I fly out to Yaoi-con in San Francisco and I'll be gone for just over a week, so I'll be slow-posting at the very least from Monday September 22nd to Wednesday October 1st. We might have internet in which case I'll post as often as I can, but we also might not ^^; So uh, sorry to anyone I hold up during nightshift ;_; If I've got plans with people though, I'm sure something can be worked out!!

First, as per my hiatus notice from a few weeks ago, I plan to return by Dinner Shift (or Saturday, at the very latest, depending on how busy things get at work this week).

EDIT: Javert-mun, are you still available to do the dinner thread starting the end of this week? I will try my best to at least get my starting post in for it before the weekend, but I think most of my posting will be during the weekend. Just a heads up.

And now the questions for the mods:

1. I see that the shifts are going to change very quickly this week. It looks like the return to the Institute is starting today, so I'm guessing that Dinner Shift will start on Thursday? (If so, that's the day I expect to return from hiatus, if possible.) Also, with the extra day in Doyleton, does this also mean that Night Shift won't start until Saturday?

2. I noticed that Night Shift doesn't officially end until October 9 (or is it the 10th, due to the extra day in Doyleton?), but the upcoming app cycle starts on October 4. I want to make sure that von Karma is free for the app cycle, but at the same time, I also want to continue playing through the end of the Night Shift for plot reasons (even backthreading as needed). Will this be okay? (I already emailed about this several days ago, but it may not have gone through or you may not have had a chance to get to it. ^^;; I just want to know ASAP so that I can plan accordingly if necessary, since there isn't much time left now.)

So...I pretty much failed hard this shift and never got around to shoving Nny into town (mostly because I was posting reaaaally slowly at the time because of rl, and didn't want anyone to get stuck with my slowness). So, I have two questions. Would it be okay for me to say he felt sick and just stayed on the bus, away from all the people? And...when does the ride home shift thing start? ^.^;

Before I get to the nitty-gritty of asking people questions, I have a general mod question: am I correct in assuming that at this point, things work like Nightshift with regards to backthreading, meaning no new location posts, but it's fine to move between the existing ones? Or is it a case where characters need to stay where they are and can still talk amongst themselves until their nurses come get them?

And also, one more specific backthreading question: do we NEED a specific NPC if backthreading at one of the restaurants (Tasty Burger), or is it okay to meta it?

So, uh, given that we didn't get Mello, Artemis, and Schuldig with an optional Farfarello garnish? together before the end of Doyleton shift, what exactly are we doing re: our planned thread?

As I see it, we have three options:

1) Backthread the whole thing in one of the already-opened town locations - where, I don't know, but I don't suppose it matters.

2) Do it during nightshift, instead. (I don't think on the buses would work, exactly - too crowded and cramped, plus only two people per seat so it'd be hard for the characters to converse ICly.)

3) Do the thread sometime next dayshift.

Whatever option we go with, Serey, Schuldig is going to want to get in touch with Arty as soon as possible to hand over the items. :3 This can happen anytime; it doesn't have to be at the same time they encounter Mello.

Unrelated - Rose, is it okay if I assume Farfarello is waiting outside during the electronics store backthread? Since the thread's really only going to be a couple posts anyway, I don't think he'd need to come in or that he'd even have much to do if he did. And Zalia, am I safe in assuming Yohji's departed to meet with Tyki by then?

Zalia and Kaze! Did you want to backthread the toy store?

Okay, so! Hardware store people (Kagura, Cid, and Wally): backthread y/n? I think we're trying to at least get Leon and Cid a couple items in their pockets before they're herded off, and since Kagura was on hiatus and I totally missed it (*fail*), we probably ought to try and work that out. And then we can bug the mods about how much frisking actually occurs.

And now, bus ride home! I know that Wesker has some eeevil plans for Leon that involve some minions. We need to coordinate that pretty fast, at least so we can determine if Leon's gotten his dumb self sedated on the ride home.

We never really got anywhere with it, do you want to try to backthread the Soubi and Vlad lunch thread? If not, that's fine too. I just thought I'd check.

So, Angel has managed to snag the local paper, which means I am now having of questions. Um, first of all, would he be able to keep it? He's just going to tuck it away in his journal or something so it won't be waved around or anything. Assuming that he can keep it, I was wondering if there would be

1) a date/year/month on it and if so, what the exact date is (mostly the year). Uh, if there is no date, would there be anything in the content that might give away a certain era? Specific slang/mentions of certain technology or....something, idk. I'm ttly not making shit up. x__x

2) any mentions of other existing countries/states/cities or if it would be strictly kept within Doyleton

3) if all the names (if any) mentioned in the columns are of American/English origin.

4) if there's a bulletin/announcement section in it and if there would be anything regarding either a church or a school. Or if there's anything regarding a church or a school in general (I'm thinking not, since Doyleton doesn't seem to have either? But just to be sure. :3)
