Hi all! This is Tad, and since we have a lot of new players, it's time to tell everyone about damned_quotes! Basically, this is our way of highlighting threads we really like. Sort of period in review type of things. It's pretty simple.

You, the faithful readers of damned, submit quotes to the latest submission post, which as of today, is right here. Comments are screened, and anyone can submit, player or audience. Any ic remark is fair game, including what's on the bulletin. The only thing I ask is that submissions match the layout provided, because it makes my life easier. And, possibly, to be warned about spoilers, since I don't always know, and I'd like to pass the warning along.

Then, on set dates of every month if Tad doesn't fail, I'll post all the quotes in one nice big batch for everyone to enjoy, like this one right here (which is not work safe)! And that's it.

Any questions, feel free to ask me. And please do submit things! ^.^

I know there's only a few days left of Nightshift, but the tempation to throw Daphne into the deep end without a life preserver is just too strong. Would anyone like to adopt her for the little slice of Nightshift we've got left? People willing to tell her what's going on or people interested in joining in an ill-conceived, directionally challenged and ultimately futile escape attempt would both be love.

I think a few folks - particularly chat folks who know that I've been struggling for a while - have seen this coming, but: I'm officially dropping Shiki from damned. She'll be on hiatus for the rest of this NS, taking a long nap, and will quietly fade away come morning.

I'm sorry, particularly to the Lost and Found crew. But I've been struggling for a while, and I don't think a hiatus will particularly help here. So, please remove mrmewmaker from your friends lists. :<

Well, it's been a long time coming... but, as those I've been trying to thread with can see, my pace has been utter crap lately. For a while. So I'm just going to save myself other trouble and drop out of damned. I've been here since the place was landels_redux and I utterly adore the place, but roleplaying has become a stressful chore for me. I love the characters I've met and the people behind him, and I'll miss you guys. :') Love you all!

My boy and I are taking a Valentine's mini-vacation (before you get all jealous we're driving one town over and renting a hotel room with a king sized bed, a full-sized shower/bathtub and satellite television for two days so we can lounge around all day Sunday before coming home). Since I'm never around on Fridays anyway, say I'll be gone Friday-Sunday, resuming my normal life Monday morning. This affects Armand (secret_orchard ), Tony (tony_castaway ) and Juri (fencing_captain ).

That being said, I wanted to ask ahead of time if the folks being attacked by the sylph upstairs were interested in backthreading if necessary? I don't know one way or another, but I won't be around to ask at the shift change over. I can see reasons to go either way.

Note that this is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. Some people just like to throw their characters at whoever doesn't have plans, and we encourage that too. This is just to keep from having fifty or so individual posts.

If you'd like to put your characters up for adoption, just make a thread with the names of your characters in the heading (and if they already have some shifts scheduled make sure to mention that in the body of it). This generally entails scheduling for the whole day, for those of you new to the game - meaning breakfast, 2nd shift, lunch, and fourth shift. Dinner is automatically spent with your roommate, so there's no need to schedule that.

Once again, this is just for those that want to. Feel free to be spontaneous!

ETA: You may also want to list the actual journals in the body of your thread for when people aren't familiar with the characters.
ETAx2: Don't forget doctor shifts if you had them scheduled.

I'm going to be in Wales from tomorrow morning until late Friday. I THINK that I'll have web access, so I'm going to be bringing my laptop. I can't make any promises, though. :\
