Now, for how NPC monster modding works! Basically, Fey has divided the maps up into sections (first floor here, second floor here). Each NPC mod is in charge of a particular section.

That means that when you make a request, you'll pretty much know which NPC mod will be taking care of it. The NPC mods can track this post and keep an eye out for when there are any requests that are in their area and then get to it. (Also, this way if there's a delay in getting your request filled, you know who you can contact about it.) Of course, a NPC mod could always ask one of the others to pinch hit for them if they're busy, on hiatus, etc.

NEW RULES RECENTLY ADDED: When you make a request, put the name of the NPC mod who is in charge of the area in the subject line of your post! This will make it stand out more to the NPC mod and also get rid of any confusion about whose area it is. Secondly, there will be a three-day waiting period for NPC mod requests. In other words, if you wait three days and still don't get a monster, then you can feel guilt-free about contacting the NPC mod and asking them about it. At that point, the NPC mod must decide if they are going to do it. If they are unable, it's their responsibility to find another NPC mod to handle the request for them.

This should also make it easier for the NPC mods to watch their area and send out random attacks, so stay sharp! 8)

As for the outside areas, those requests can still be handled by any of us! And that's about all! Hope this makes this process a little more efficient. :3 Credit goes to Fey (and possibly some others?) for the idea.

Though I am going to go sleep now, I'll hopefully be up relatively early tomorrow morning and will finally shift-change at that time. The reason it got put off is because Court and I have been having a difficult time sitting down and getting through confirming all the power revisions, being on opposite timezones and all; however, we don't want to delay any longer, so we'll go ahead and start nightshift hoping that powers won't immediately come up for all the characters. If you had to do a power revision and haven't gotten it confirmed yet, please do not have your character use any powers until checking with us first.

In other news, we'll soon be putting up a poll with options for special events, including many of the ones proposed over on the suggestions post. \o/

SO UH. In addition to almost killing him, Dean also took Sam's flashlight. :(

I KNOW THE CHANCES OF THIS ARE KINDA SLIM but I'mma ask anyway just in case -- UM BASICALLY, does anyone in the M21-M30 Block (or around there) have a flashlight Sam can steal? Someone who won't be in that room or aren't using their flashlight for some reason or other, that is, because Sam's not gonna, you know, forcefully take it. DX;;

It doesn't have to be from that exact hallway, it's just he's in M24, so the nearer to there that room the better, but yes.

Or. It might even be more of a borrow than steal since Sam will probably try to return it if he gets the chance to. ;;; Since he doesn't want to leave some poor bastard wandering in the dark. SO IT CAN BE A TEMPORARY THING, you don't have to lose your flashlight for good. Unless you want to.

I am so so sorry for my lack of posting recently and not taking advantage of these extra days. If anyone wants to backthread, I'm willing to do it. I'll try to respond to stuff today. (I already apologized in my journal, but I've continued to fail since then...)

Armand asked the six members (Armand, TK-622, Citan, Alec Trevelyan, Bridget and Kagura) of the courier service to meet in the M-A Block Hallway because it was close to where he thought the Clinic was. Now the Clinic is somewhere else, which he knows now. He doesn't know where it has moved yet. The reason they were all meeting was that Alec and Armand and TK all have items to take to the Clinic. The new couriers, Bridget and Kagura, need to be introduced to their "partners," and Armand was hoping for last minute advice from Citan. Now Citan and Kagura may well have arranged to meet elsewhere.

Armand has now offered to drop his flashlight off for a girl, because he's silly that way. He'll get to the rendezvous as soon as possible.

Now when they get there is when I expect a bit of a tangle. Unless the players time their arrivals and departures, we have a potential 6 person thread and we're never getting out of that hallway. So I'd like to suggest that we figure out some kind of timing for getting in and out, and a little vigilance from all the players. And communication, if something goes wrong.

I think he's going to ask one pair to look for bandages and such and one pair to look for where the Clinic has moved to deliver the supplies. He doesn't know what to do with the other unless Citan has found a job for them.

ETA: Just to give people a starting off point, I had two ideas. One is run it like Armand is meeting 3 different groups as little thread-lets. Citan and  Kagura in one. TK in one. And Alec and Bridget in another. The other idea is just plan between us, who'll arrive when and try to get some of them departing before everyone is there.

Hello there poppets.

So I'm staying at with some friends this weekend and their wireless internet is racist against PCs. ;_; I'll have access when I sneak into the campus or steal their Macs so I should still be fairly quick about posting (barring writer's block/the sudden loss of my arms/lethal spider bites), but I'll be off AIM until Monday night. -ish. For those of you who are new and don't know what damned_links is, it's just a listing of links to every location posted to Nightshift. That's right--no scrolling back to find the location you need! Nifty, yus? :3

A few guidelines! Because these things always come with catches. ♥

-Please check BOTH the listing AND the main comm before posting a new location. I'll update the list often, but sometimes you guys are just way too fast for a poor student like me! ; ; So avoid duplicate locations. They confuse me and everyone else.

-Check damned_maps for the names of locations. Use ONLY those marked names AS WRITTEN. That way people will be able to find locations they need more easily, and I won't have to look at where you came from. :3

-If you happen across a broken or incorrect link, post to the list and let me know which one it is (and the correct link, if you're feeling generous. XD). I'll comment back when it's been fixed.

Any useful links posted in the Lounge (monster request, room descriptions, etc.) will also be posted on the links page.
