Having gone ahead and updated the taken characters list for the moment, I had a few things that I wanted to iron out, mainly concerning comics stuff.

We have a bunch of Batman groups, including "Batman: DC Comics," but then there's also a general "DC Comics" group, and I was wondering if you guys like it the way it is or if you'd rather I tossed the Batman comics people into the general comics group? That's how the Marvel section works (although Spidey's off on his own, HMM)... ANYWAY, I'm just wondering if you guys have any preferences for how this is organized since I break my brain trying to decide what's the best way to do it each time.

On that note, I get the feeling that the Japanese name order is a real mess on that list, but I know that people have their different preferences when it comes to that, so I was wondering -- should I think about standardizing it (last, first vs. first, last) or maybe having a standard for each separate canon depending on what the majority preference among the players from each canon is? OR AM I OVERTHINKING THIS? :| Anyway, thoughts for those that have an opinion about this, if you could, please. ♥

Also, I'd like to offer my apologies for those of you who are waiting on app responses still. We just have a few more, some of which are waiting on second opinions -- but yeah. DX SOON, HOPEFULLY.

OK. I've held off on doing this because I had hoped getting her out and about more would help with this, but it's not. So, dropping Misa. I'm really sorry, especially to you, Abe-mun. I'll try and get some tags out for her for this shift, but my feeling stuck with her is starting to both stress me out and drag down other folks, and as such, it's time.

(And I know I'd put her in the visitor poll; since it's so late and all, it's just fine to skip me completely on that, rather than putting someone on the spot by asking them to step in for someone else.)

I've been hanging on for a long time, much longer than I told myself I would. I've got a ton of writing projects to focus on right now, plus I'm going to Europe with no internet access for six months to a year (Speaking of which, does anyone in Europe want to put me up for a couple days? XD). So please, drop iwascloned and justlovesyogurt. We had some good times.

I'm moving to my university as a freshman tomorrow, and it might take a while to figure out times to get tags in again. So... hiatus! It might take a little longer or shorter than a week to get settled in, but I'm hoping I can return in time for the start of this Nightshift. Hope to see you guys again soon!

Okay, so the name order question ended up getting more varying opinions then I'd expected, so we'll resolve this with a poll!

However, while some of you suggested using lastname-firstname order, we think that would generally make things kind of awkward, as some people said -- we understand that for medical records and such it would make sense, but since the list is meant for convenience, we think that using last-first would be a bit unwieldy. Like someone said, if a potenial applicant was looking to see if a character was taken (let's say they wanted to play Cloud Strife), they would probably look in the C area before the S area. (Making everyone last-first would also require the most reworking. ;;) We hope you all can understand that!

That being said, here are the three options we're left with.

1) Standardized to be all firstname-lastname.
2) Western names are ordered first-last, whereas Eastern names are last-first.
3) Name order is decided on a canon-by-canon basis (the players of each canon would vote for what they preferred).

Keep in mind that regardless of what is picked, a note would be made at the top of the list noting how it was organized to avoid confusion.

Okay, so my computer situation is a little more up in the air than previously thought. I'm still in the process of moving in to my new place, and the only consistant Internet access I have at the moment is on my iPhone (which is what I'm on right now). Unfortunately, that means I'll have to extend my hiatus, possibly to Saturday or Sunday. I hope to have everything set up by late tomorrow, though!
