Now, for how NPC monster modding works! Basically, Fey has divided the maps up into sections (first floor here, second floor here). Each NPC mod is in charge of a particular section.

That means that when you make a request, you'll pretty much know which NPC mod will be taking care of it. The NPC mods can track this post and keep an eye out for when there are any requests that are in their area and then get to it. (Also, this way if there's a delay in getting your request filled, you know who you can contact about it.) Of course, a NPC mod could always ask one of the others to pinch hit for them if they're busy, on hiatus, etc.

RELATIVELY NEW RULES: When you make a request, put the name of the NPC mod who is in charge of the area in the subject line of your post! This will make it stand out more to the NPC mod and also get rid of any confusion about whose area it is. Secondly, there will be a three-day waiting period for NPC mod requests. In other words, if you wait three days and still don't get a monster, then you can feel guilt-free about contacting the NPC mod and asking them about it. At that point, the NPC mod must decide if they are going to do it. If they are unable, it's their responsibility to find another NPC mod to handle the request for them.

This should also make it easier for the NPC mods to watch their area and send out random attacks, so stay sharp! 8)

As for the outside areas, those requests can still be handled by any of us! And that's about all! Hope this makes this process a little more efficient. :3 Credit goes to Fey (and possibly some others?) for the idea.

Kylie - Hey, I've got a question about, uh, whatever remained of Zombie!Harry. If the Winchesters managed to make it to the morgue, would it be okay for them to attempt to salt and burn Harry? I mean, Dean kind of feels it's the least he could do (way to fail).

I should have asked this earlier, but... If patients die, are their possessions (things they acquired, not the stuff the Institute put together) kept for any length of time? And if so, where? Since one of Armand's last wishes was that TK have his sword, if it was still there. And since he died last night, there wasn't any chance to get it.

Gumshoe's 're-introduction' will be posted into brunch late, but he'll be ready for action this nightshift. On that note:

People in rooms F24-40 -- about halfway through nightshift, Gumshoe intends to glance into all of your rooms without knocking; he won't be entering any of the rooms, but taking a very quick look into each of them until he reaches F23 (so a thread with every occupant he sees wouldn't need to take place [unless you really wanted it to?]). I don't know if this would be a problem, but if it is, please let me know? The door handle to the room that doesn't want a surprise Gumshoe can get temporarily stuck or something.

Manny will be posted into dinner shift late and will then go looking for M92, as planned. Also, I apologize if I'm a bit slow to begin with. Not only has it been a while, I also have an exam coming up next week. Bad timing, I know, but. Just a heads-up.

Hey all. I'm home safe and sound, caught up on email and LJ, and currently trying to get back in the groove. Expect actual posts starting sometime late tonight once I'm out of whatisthisthingcalledinternetcanIgobackundertherock mode. I'll likely be slow for the next few days.

Once I am, expect a few ancient tag-replies -- there's a thread or two I'd like to close off with a nurse-shooing or something -- not really backthreads, just closure. (And I owe Ang a backthread tag but that's probably going to be last on the to-do list as it isn't time-critical.)

So I'm moving back into res right now, SO I CAN RETURN TO BEING A BIG FAILBOAT UNIVERSITY STUDENT, but on top of needing to unpack and shit, I... have no idea if there's going to be internet hooked up in the dorms. I seem to have come down with either a stomach bug or a serious migraine -- I don't know whether the inability to hold food down is causing the headache, or vice-versa, but either way, I'm not doing too well. :(
