Just briefly coming on to say I won't be getting to tags til tomorrow night or so. Feel kinda crappy and tired. But also want to say I'm still up for continuing all my backthreads and stuff. Sorry I wasn't all over that like I should have been.

Also Kaworu and Edgar, if you have a preference regarding meeting/bumping-into-people spots, do let me know. Otherwise, I'll just throw people out tomorrow and have them bump into everyone wherever.

Now, for how NPC monster modding works! Basically, Fey has divided the maps up into sections (first floor here, second floor here). Each NPC mod is in charge of a particular section.

That means that when you make a request, you'll pretty much know which NPC mod will be taking care of it. The NPC mods can track this post and keep an eye out for when there are any requests that are in their area and then get to it. (Also, this way if there's a delay in getting your request filled, you know who you can contact about it.) Of course, a NPC mod could always ask one of the others to pinch hit for them if they're busy, on hiatus, etc.

WE'RE CHANGING THINGS AROUND ONCE MORE: We want to try out a system where each NPC mod makes a comment with THEIR NAME in the subject line, and then people will respond directly to that comment when they need a monster. In other words, if I wanted to be attacked by a monster in the Courtyard, I would reply to Tiassa's comment with the request. We think NPC mods might be able to keep track of when they're needed easier that way. In the event that you need an NPC mod in an unassigned area (outside the institute, the basement, etc.), feel free to pick a mod who doesn't seem too busy and just reply to them and ask if they can do it. (Thanks to Maia for this idea!)

There will be a three-day waiting period for NPC mod requests. In other words, if you wait three days and still don't get a monster, then you can feel guilt-free about contacting the NPC mod and asking them about it. At that point, the NPC mod must decide if they are going to do it. If they are unable, it's their responsibility to find another NPC mod to handle the request for them.

This should also make it easier for the NPC mods to watch their area and send out random attacks, so stay sharp! 8)

As for the outside areas, those requests can still be handled by any of us! And that's about all! Hope this makes this process a little more efficient. :3 Credit goes to Fey (and possibly some others?) for the idea.

This is where you comment with any alerts that other players should be aware of. Your character knocks down a certain door? Comment here so that there isn't confusion with people trying to open doors that have already been taken care of. Your character raids a supply closet? Note here what was taken so that anyone else heading that way knows what they have left to choose from. Part of the building gets blown up? You better let us know!

Also, if something particularly noteworthy is going on a specific room, feel free to mention it as well. Let's say your character is in the middle of torturing another character in the 2nd floor kitchen. It would be a little weird for a group to bypass that while looking for supplies, so... yes! This is just a simple way for us all to stay informed about the out of the ordinary things that might be going on during any given night.

Basically, just respond here with the appropriate location in the subject line (if applicable, since that's not as easy to do when it's a lock-breaking), and... yes! We did something similar to this during the zombie event, so check that out for reference.

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, and for those of you tuning in for the first time, welcome to you as well. This is Serey, bringing yet another tool to help you guys out during Nightshift: damned_links!

For those of you who are new and don't know what damned_links is, it's just a listing of links to every location posted to Nightshift. That's right--no scrolling back to find the location you need! Nifty, yus? :3

A few guidelines! Because these things always come with catches. ♥

-Please check BOTH the listing AND the main comm before posting a new location. I'll update the list often, but sometimes you guys are just way too fast for me! ; ; So avoid duplicate locations. They confuse me and everyone else.

-Check damned_maps for the names of locations. Use ONLY those marked names AS WRITTEN. That way people will be able to find locations they need more easily, and I won't have to look at where you came from. :3

-If you happen across a broken or incorrect link, post to the list and let me know which one it is (and the correct link, if you're feeling generous XD). I'll comment back when it's been fixed.

Any useful links posted in the Lounge (monster request, room descriptions, notification posts, special event information, etc.) will also be posted on the links page.

I'm going to extend my hiatus through nightshift. I didn't have any concrete plans that I'm aware of, so unless I'm bailing on anyone, all my boys are out for the night.

IF I AM BAILING ON YOU, please let me know, we'll work something out! I could probably manage slow posting, but aimless slow posting just...isn't going to happen, between school about to start up again, writing the next app, and my health being like "lols no."

If anyone still wants backthreads for ds please let me know. I am so sorry about dropping everything ever. It really is a health-related issue, and I feel like a total jackass. PLUS I HATE HOSPITALS, so I'm just not really a happy camper right now anyway. 8|
