I'm going on a trip this weekend, so it's likely that from about mid-afternoon thursday to sunday I'll be mostly incommunicado. I MIGHT be able to find a way to bring a laptop with me, but even so it'd be slow going... but if any of ZEX's threadmates want to backthread or something when I get back, I'd be fine with that.

Okay, this might seem like it's out of the blue, but this is something I've been thinking about for a while, and I think I'm finally at the point where I need to bite the bullet and do it.

Which means that this is a drop post from me. Which... hasn't happened in years, because I have such a tough time making decisions like this. THERE'S NO EASY WAY TO SAY THIS, so here goes... I'm going to go ahead and drop Peter Petrelli and Zack Fair.

I want to at least play out this next dayshift with them, so anyone who wants a last thread can feel free to make dibs here. ;__; I will do my best to accomodate everyone. As for nightshift, I'm on the fence about doing stuff with them then so just let me know if you want a NS adventure with either. :C (I am kind of sort of toying with the idea of killing Peter this NS, but I'm not set either way yet... AHHHH. orz)

The reasoning behind this is that I've been slowly losing motivation to post with both of them. When you have six characters it's hard to make sure that you're giving each one the attention they need and I don't want to get to the point where I'm just phoning in posts for them for the sake of my amazing CR. That CR is amazing, though, and I'm already mourning some of the awesome interaction that these two had.

This should give me more time to dedicate to my other four and also to do mod things, though, so that is the one benefit. 8(

OH, ALSO, items. Peter has a shitton of medical supplies (I can try to put together a full list for anyone interested) and a shovel that are up for grabs. Zack has a sword, a Lightning materia, and a pry bar. Canonmates get first dibs: otherwise it'll be first come, first serve.

This is the official Lounge post for players who want to plan out specific Dayshift threads ahead of time in order to foster desired kinds of interaction and character development. Allow us to stress that SCHEDULING THREADS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, and while there is no limit on the amount of threads you can schedule, we strongly encourage you to take care in how many threads you schedule and try to keep yourself open for random interaction when possible.

Please use the following template when commenting. We suggest bolding important points so that people who are scanning the post can get a quick idea of what you're looking for. You might also want to use the usernames of the characters whose attention you want so that people can easily ctrl+F to find things relevant to their interests. Also, here is the rough schedule for what days each shift will fall on. HELLO EVERYONE! I'm posting regarding the Sun Room this DS, so please take a gander if your character likes to hang out in there!

This isn't really an event per se but I wanted to do something fun with Erika this DS, so I asked and got approval from the mods to have Erika build a blanket fort in the middle of the Sun Room. Yes, a blanket fort. She will begin building it during breakfast (tl;dr: her coliseum pin gives her free movement during DS, so she will be spending the morning stealing most of the blankets from the Laundry Room) shift, so by the time people start entering the Sun Room for second and fourth shift, they might notice the following:

- Erika took most of the chairs and used a couch in the middle of the Sun Room to prop up a blanket tent of sorts. It's not very large but there's a lot of blankets lying around on the floor near the "fort" and she is also collecting chairs from the surrounding Music Room, Game Room, etc. to build the fort. So it might be a little hard to find a place to sit (though your character is welcome to fix that LOL).

- Erika will actually continue building the "fort" for the whole DS, so they will notice her walking back and forth with blankets and chairs to keep "expanding" the fort, so it'll gradually get bigger and cover more of the center of the room as the day goes by.

As for why she's building the fort, Erika is testing the limits of the military's patience and will be getting very mixed results. ANYWAY, what this means for you guys is basically there's a girl obnoxiously taking up a lot of space in the Sun Room for seemingly no good reason and not much is being done about it.

Anyone is free to take a blanket, take a chair, kick down the fort and annoy Erika (she deserves it), ignore it as they please, or join in even if they want! Basically, your character can pretty much do anything they want to/with the fort and participation is very optional! I know most characters will probably just look at her and wonder what the hell she's doing and why she took all of the chairs, but interaction is good and encouraged! As for the soldiers, they'll be mostly tolerating her/any participants unless people start fighting/inciting riots/... violating dress code or something. So simply interacting with the blanket fort will not get your character in trouble!

UM, if anyone else has any questions, feel free to ask in this post! I might be slow answering them but I definitely will get to them before second shift at least. AGAIN this isn't like mandatory or anything, I'm just throwing up a notification cuz most characters would notice this happening and maybe some characters would like to have fun with it!

Due to the military presence, we are going to be holding off therapy sessions until Day 60. In addition, due to a shortage of excellent staff, we would like to encourage players who've been here for a month or more to apply for doctors! They are amazing people who talk to patients and tell them they are crazy while being awesomely scientific and utilizing the periodic table against everyone.* Sometimes, they even let patients eat a human liver!**

Also, due to an upcoming event, we will not be running missions for Day 59 (so both DS 59 and NS 59 will have no missions). We will be continuing missions after Day 59 so don't worry about missed chances!

When life hits me hard. For the moment, I'm going to hiatus my girls this DS: Celty again and Donna Noble (with the exception of her shift with Hakkai at Breakfast) will be catching up on their beauty sleep. I'll try to keep Brook and Kurogane out, but I could end up hiatusing them too if things get too crazy. In the meantime though, while I'm sure to be slow, I will do my best with backthreads any of my characters are involved in.

Hey, everyone!

Due to yet another failed mission, Aguilar is quite displeased. Consequently, he's dishing out yet another punishment.

For all three meals this Dayshift, as much as a third of the patient population may experience the following: whenever they see food of any kind, it will appear rotted, moldy, possibly even infested with bugs or maggots. If a patient who sees this can muster the courage to put it in his or her mouth, the food (if it can even be called that anymore) will taste so foul that it may even be gag-inducing for those with a weaker constitution. This will apply to both the pink gruel and pre-military menu.

Patients who are unaffected, on the other hand, will experience nothing out of the ordinary. Their food will look and taste the same as always, and they won't see anything wrong with anyone else's plates, either. In fact, they may start to think some of their table companions have gone a bit crazy. Or maybe they're the crazy ones?
