This is the official Lounge post for players who want to plan out specific Dayshift threads ahead of time in order to foster desired kinds of interaction and character development. Allow us to stress that SCHEDULING THREADS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, and while there is no limit on the amount of threads you can schedule, we strongly encourage you to take care in how many threads you schedule and try to keep yourself open for random interaction when possible.

Please use the following template when commenting. We suggest bolding important points so that people who are scanning the post can get a quick idea of what you're looking for. You might also want to use the usernames of the characters whose attention you want so that people can easily ctrl+F to find things relevant to their interests. Your request can range from as vague as "I want my character to make new friends!" to as specific as "I want my character to thread with a megalomaniacal antagonist during lunch, if possible."

You might want to refer to the schedule to know how to plan threads! Let me make it clear that this is a Doyleton day, so the patients will be going on a field trip. The shifts are also different, because you have:

1) Bus ride (from Landel's to town)
2) Morning (in town)
3) Noon (in town)
4) Early afternoon (in town)
5) Late afternoon (in town)
6) Bus ride (from town to Landel's)
7) Dinner

Also, here is the rough schedule for what days each shift will fall on. We provide this as incentive for each player to think about how busy they'll be during the different shifts so that they can properly plan out when they can post their characters out. Keep in mind that some of these dates might shift slightly if extensions become necessary.

1st shift = April 10th through April 12th
2nd shift = April 13th through April 16th
3rd shift = April 17th through April 20th
4th shift = April 21st through April 24th
5th shift = April 25th through April 28th
6th shift = April 29th through May 1st
7th shift = May 2nd through May 4th

Notes: Anything a potential thread partner might need to know, from which days of the week you're fastest on to how many shifts you are planning to schedule (if you want to limit it, say so) to upcoming things that might make you busy at a certain (exam week, trips, etc.)

The first details about the trip are as follows. This is all standard stuff for people who've gone through this before (with a few added details), but for those of you who are new, here goes!

Instead of being taken to breakfast, characters will be given a change of clothing (think Good Will donations in terms of the style of clothing, so nothing particularly fancy/nice), and a bagged lunch containing a juice box, a blueberry muffin, and a granola bar. They will then be escorted onto one of three available buses.

They will also be given a book of coupons upon entering their bus. The coupons are as follows:

1 free lunch at Twin Pines
1 free facial or massage at Mystic Healing Spa
1 free manicure at Pearl’s
1 free Tasty Meal and Ice Cream at Tasty Burger

Furthermore, each patient will receive a gray plastic card with a magnetic strip which contains data for a set amount of credits ($25). With this, they can buy stuff in stores. Keep in mind that the card also has a picture of the character on it along with their "real" name. Swapping cards or committing credit card fraud, therefore, is ill-advised.

Like last Doyleton day, we'll be posting an OOC template with details regarding purchases and how players will be handling those. Keep an eye out for it!

Lastly, be sure to take a look at the Saturday's weather to get an idea of what kind of clothing your character should wear! Even though it's not snowy, the temperature is still chilly, so the nurses will probably want them bundled up a little bit.

And that should be it for now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Thank you!
