So, I'm in the midst of my first round of midterms, and that means that my already abysmal tagging speed is about to plummet to new depths of futility. The midterms in question are next Monday and Tuesday, so that means that the rest of this week and next week (since for some reason, it takes me a whole week to get back into my normal rhythm), I'm going to be like...like....

Simply put, it'll be bad :< I'll try my hardest to stay up with NS threads and not post once a week or something ludicrous like that, but for backthreads, I must apologize b/c I'm about to come really close to dropping off the face of the planet with those haha.

Also just a reminder that I am not on plurk v. often anymore, and that AIM/email are now better ways of contacting me! I will still try to respond to private plurks if I get them, though.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There will be new sections added to the form for the purposes of the military arc (and beyond that, possibly, if we keep the pin system). Make sure to read carefully when putting in a request.

Now, for how NPC monster modding works! Basically, the maps has been divided up into sections and coded (first floor here, second floor here). Each NPC mod is in charge of a particular section.

That means that when you make a request, you'll pretty much know which NPC mod will be taking care of it. The NPC mods can track this post and keep an eye out for when there are any requests that are in their area and then get to it. (Also, this way if there's a delay in getting your request filled, you know who you can contact about it.) Of course, a NPC mod could always ask one of the others to pinch hit for them if they're busy, on hiatus, etc.

Each NPC mod will reply here with a comment with THEIR NAME in the subject line, and then people will respond directly to that comment when they need a monster. In other words, if I wanted to be attacked by a monster in the Courtyard, I would reply to Tiassa's comment with the request. We think NPC mods might be able to keep track of when they're needed easier that way. In the event that you need an NPC mod in an unassigned area (outside the institute, the basement, etc.), there will be a specific thread for those places that you can respond to (and any mod will be able to pick those requests up).

There will be a three-day waiting period for NPC mod requests. In other words, if you wait three days and still don't get a monster, then you can feel guilt-free about contacting the NPC mod and asking them about it. At that point, the NPC mod must decide if they are going to do it. If they are unable, it's their responsibility to find another NPC mod to handle the request for them.

This should also make it easier for the NPC mods to watch their area and send out random attacks, so stay sharp! 8)

As for the outside areas and the basement, those requests can still be handled by any of us! And that's about all! Hope this makes this process a little more efficient.

This is where you comment with any alerts that other players should be aware of. Your character knocks down a certain door? Comment here so that there isn't confusion with people trying to open doors that have already been taken care of. Your character raids a supply closet? Note here what was taken so that anyone else heading that way knows what they have left to choose from. Part of the building gets blown up? You better let us know!

Also, if something particularly noteworthy is going on a specific room, feel free to mention it as well. Let's say your character is in the middle of torturing another character in the 2nd floor kitchen. It would be a little weird for a group to bypass that while looking for supplies, so... yes! This is just a simple way for us all to stay informed about the out of the ordinary things that might be going on during any given night.

Basically, just respond here with the appropriate location in the subject line (if applicable, since that's not as easy to do when it's a lock-breaking), and... yes!

Hi, everyone!

School is really killing me right now so I'm going to be hiatus-ing through this NS. I will still be trying to hit my backtags, but I'll probably be doing it very slowly. I'd like to thank everyone for being so understanding and I can't wait to start playing with you again! ♥

So my fic is getting posted up today (yay!), which means that I'll be back in the swing of things for nightshift when it starts tomorrow.

However, while Sora, Guy, and Harvey will be coming off hiatus for NS, Castiel is going to stay on hiatus until dayshift. Not because of any problems with time or motivation, but simply because he's in a bad way after getting surgery and is in no state to go anywhere!

I'm up for threading with Kotetsu for a bit if you want to, Claire, but it's up to you! If you'd rather handwave it, we can say that Kotetsu helped Cas into bed and then Cas passed out.

Just a heads up that yes, I am aware of how slow my tagging speed has been lately, and yes, it will unfortunately continue for a little while longer. School has been kicking my butt lately...and on that note, I don't know if I'll be able to tag for the next few days thanks to school work. Bad timing because of NS starting, I know. ^^; I'll try my best to keep up with things.
