For those of you who are trying to apply for an extra character (that is, going over the new limit of four), since none of you sent in letters in advance (granted, we should have been more clear about that being a possibility), we're assuming you've all gone ahead and written an application, so you can send in the letter with the app. Part of the reason we don't really have a system for the letter thing is that since this is our first time doing it, we're not sure how many people are going to be trying for it, so we'll just have to get an idea of that this cycle and then adjust accordingly. So we'll read the letters along with the applications, and if we decide to deny your request for an extra character, you'll get a response around the same time that we send out the other emails.

Note: Court and I have bit the bullet this time and have already gone through most of the apps in the interest of saving time and getting our decisions out ASAP once the apps have closed. HOWEVER, as we have no idea if new apps for a character we've already marked accepted will come in or not, (or if people retract their applications or other mitigating circumstances like that), we won't be giving out our official e-mails until a few days after the apps have closed, all in one big batch. Just letting you know we're definitely on top of this one. ;) Basically, although we've gone over the apps we have so far, our decisions are NOT YET FINAL! SO SEND AWAY! XD

ALSO! We realize the two month wait (although necessary for us to be able to handle all the applications) is a real killer, we're thinking of implementing a system where the apps that get rejected (and whose character doesn't get taken by someone else) can re-apply a couple of weeks after being rejected, so that they don't have to wait as painstakingly long to app again. I dunno; on one hand, we don't want to make people wait so long, but on the other... we're only human and can only handle so much. T_T;

Anyway, we're handling things pretty well at the moment, so... yay! :D

Edit: In case you're wondering why we're allowing in original characters, we changed the rules so that they can get apped, but only by players who've had a character for four months or more. XD; Just FYI.

Based heavily on the input we got from the poll, (thanks so much, you guys <3), here's the way the new schedule is gonna go:

We're gonna have four shifts each Dayshift, and each shift is gonna go on for three RL days. (Yes, I know Four RL Days won by one vote, but we need to balance out more shifts with less days for each one. XD; Besides, the vote was very close.) Nightshift, by overwhelming popularity, will go on for two RL weeks.

Nightshift is going to OFFICIALLY be starting tomorrow night, though I need to get all of you Special Counseling players into a chat so I can talk to you guys about how all that is gonna go down. ;D But yeah... tomorrow night? IS THE NIGHT.

And new players/characters? Because we don't want to make you guys wait, you can either decide to have your character wake up during Nightshift, (the intercom will intermittently be calling out the names of the characters whose players want to do it this way), or you can alternatively wait to introduce your character in the morning, if you want things to work out that way.
