Heya! Erin, again, here on my personal journal because I need to put up a poll for all of you. XD; However, there are some very important updates you're gonna need to read before that:

Changes that have/will be made from landels_redux to landels_damned:

1) If one of your characters is Elena, Naminé, Haruhi, Kadaj, Sora, Dante Sparda, Ichigo, Rubedo, Riku Replica, Adelheid, or Fayt, please check the new Patients List, since the new design of Landel's forced us to change your guys' room numbers. :/ Sorry! (All of you should probably double-check your room numbers, though, in case we forgot to mention you. XD;)

2) I know some of you guys are already using a single journal for a character you have in two or more Landel's communities, and that's cool. However, for the sake of keeping things organized, from now on we request that you have a separate character journal for Damned than from other Landel's comms. Since we don't want to inconvenience you too much, though, if you're already doubling-up on journals, you can go ahead and stay that way. XD; Just keep this in mind for any new characters.

3) I already mentioned this before, but I'm going to say it here to make it official: From now on, you may not NPC monsters and/or nurses at night. During the day, it's fine to have your character's nurse shuffle him/her around, but because we're balancing out the more accessible areas with nastier monsters, we have to keep a tight reign on the way they act. SORREH. <3

4) From now on, the building will be a lot more tame. Your character may have to figure this out by accident or observation, but when he/she tries to break the weaker locks, (as specified in the new first floor map), the building won't react to it. Of course, your character might wonder why the building is making it almost too easy for them, at least on the first and second floors...

5) Pregnancy is no longer possible or allowed. We simply don't know how to realistically deal with it. D: So Landel's Powers will prevent it. Or something. XD; THEY CAN DO ANYTHING, I TELL YOU. Any characters who are currently pregnant have been spoken to and things have been worked out so they'll... no longer be pregnant, soon. (I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU, AXEL, LAWLZ.)

6) Same goes for mind-talking. Court and/or me already talked to people who had that Jenova stuff going on, and from now on, it'll be purely empathic, and even then, only faintly so. (It gave too much of an unfair advantage to the people who had it, and it was a relic from landels, anyway.)

7) There are now applications for NPC Mods and Doctors. We only have space for one doctor at the moment, so if you're interested in apping for one, you'd better get on that, and expect competition! XD We're not sure about NPC Mods, though, so... well, we'll see how many we can take if anyone is interested. XD;

Okay, now some stuff that more has to do with continuity in Landel's and general correctness:

1) I guess this was never specified anywhere, and in terms of IC, we can say this happens after the change, but the food at Landel's is not crap . DDDD: It's decent to good, in fact, and certainly not maggot-filled to any extent. XD; From now on, the intercom will be announcing what food they'll be serving, though, so at least that will make it easier for you guys to stay on the same page. :3 But yeah. Landel's food? Totally normal and sanitary and everything.

2) This wasn't as big as an inconsistency, but during the day, Landel's Institute is a very nice, very clean, spick-and-span facility. It only gets Silent Hill-(hell)ish at night. XD;;; There isn't rust and mold and weird stuff anywhere, and everything is well-kept.

I'm gonna be explaining the details of how everything is going to go down tomorrow in a post immediately following this one (to keep everything organized), but right now... The shift poll!

Okay, here's the deal: Court and I noticed that shifts during the day and Nighshift either went on for too long or not long enough, and we want to give this community a sense of organization, (plus make it easier for us to keep it on schedule XD;), by making it so that shifts during the day and Nightshift span particular sets of RL days and whatnot. (Of course, this could be subject to change if there's a special event or something, but... you know, to give us a foundation. XD;)

However, we're pretty sure everyone's opinions differ on this, so we want all of you guys to give your input. :3 Please fill it out according to your own personal preferences and we'll take the general consensus into account when creating a schedule to build upon. (This upcoming Nightshift probably won't go along with the organization that we'll implement because it's gonna be our first one, but we'll try our best from then on. ;D)

I myself don't belong to too many comms, (or else my friendslist would DIE), but I'll tell you what: Once this place is up and running and Court and I are no longer scrambling to get everything together, I'll work up some HTML code that you guys can spread around wherever you want. ;D SOUND GOOD? I HOPE SO. D:

Okay, what you've all been waiting for: Here's how shizzat is gonna go down during the move from landels_redux to landels_damned:

Tired of these numbered lists? ........Too bad. D:

1) Right now, everyone is still on the landels_redux map and standing exactly where they ended over at the old comm. Here's the deal: I'm gonna make a damned_intercom post to landels_damned, which will basically be Mr. Head Doctor talking about a horrible storm coming in and all of the patients having to be rushed back to their rooms straight away for safety reasons. Next comes two nurse posts, one for the nurses who are herding the female group from the Music Room and another for the nurses who are herding the male group from the showers. For the sake of speeding things up, those will probably stand on their own for plot continuity without anyone actually responding to them---unless anyone has any objections to that. XD;

2) Patients are now in their rooms. Another damned_intercom post gets posted, but this time the guy has gone into Nightshift mode, and he'll announce some of the restrictions for this "special" night and mention that there's something new about the building... and BAM! Doors to the patients' rooms open, and when they step out, it's into a whole new Landel's building--as if the patient rooms stayed totally the same while the entire building changed around them. This way, the characters will be able to keep both their memories and their items. :3

Btw, concerning keys you guys collected from landels_redux? Don't worry, they won't be totally void. XD; Court and I just need to figure out a way for them to translate their functions over to Damned.

3) As the Head Doctor will make clear ICly, due to the fact that I DON'T HAVE THE POWER, CAPTAIN only the first floor map is finished so far, and even then, it's missing the Med Wing, there are (unfortuntely) gonna have to be some weird restrictions this first night at Damned, so I'll give you guys a heads up on what those will be:

- All the stairs on the map, including the trap doors and the secret stairs? They're all blocked off with... rubble, rocks, concrete blocks, as if someone was in the middle of construction and just stopped all of a sudden. Basically, the characters don't have access to any level other than the first floor. (XD; YEAH, I know that sucks.)

- Med Wing ain't available for explorin' at the moment. D: O NOES. We'll just say its door is covered up with rubble too, since we don't want to confuse the characters by just making it locked and prevent them from ICly coming back to check it on another night. XD;

-This is a permanent change, and unlike the others, it works towards your benefit! See the big grey areas in the patient blocks on the map? Basically, from now on, those are temporary Safe Zones--that is, at the beginning of night shift, no monster will bother your character so long as he/she stays on that part of the map. However, the safety isn't permanent: After Nightshift has progressed enough, the intercom is going to announce that the Safe Zones are no longer so safe, which means that the only safe spots are within the patient rooms themselves. If your character is hanging around that area when this happens, get his/her li'l butt moving, because anyone there will be targeted even more specifically than in other areas. (Basically, we're doing this to encourage everyone to get their characters out and about without having to mull around in the halls for a long time. XD)

-Speaking of the intercom, its announcements make anything fair game. Sometimes it'll call out totally RANDOM safe zones or give warnings about monsters that are so brief that they're more creepy than helpful. That kind of thing.

By the way.... do you know what night it is?

IT'S SPECIAL COUNSELING NIGHT!!!!

THAT'S RIGHT! Three l-l-l-lucky characters have been chosen at random, (we pick one guy, one girl, and then one that could be either), to work on Landel's side as brainwashed BADASSES for the night. They get stationed in a particular area and basically guard that area at all costs and warn patients to go back to their rooms before they lay down the uber smackdown.

(In case you guys don't remember, characters on Special Counseling get all their items back, all their clothes back, and all their powers restored to full strength.)

They also are very likely to KICK YOUR ASS BACK TO THE STONE AGE. :D;;;;;

FYI: If your character (or character's team) does manage to take down an SC patient and steal his/her Special Counseling items? All of his/her items are your character's/team's for the night, but once the morning comes, they all disappear except for one item of your choice that your character/team gets to fight over keep FOREVA. (This will appear clenched in a character's hand or under his/her pillow or something once he/she wakes up in the morning.)

...........YYYYYEAHHH. I'd advise you guys to have your characters work as a team on this one. :DDD;;;

Hi, guys. I just wanted to let you know that applications will be closed tomorrow, Friday, at midnight, Pacific Standard time. That means 1:00 AM if you're mountain, 2:00 AM if you're central, and 3:00 AM if you're eastern.

If you're something other than that, you've gotta figure it out yourself. Sorry! XD

In the meantime, we're going to start sending out responses to the applications we've got so far, so be on the lookout for that, applicants!

But yeah, we wanted to do a damned_timeline over here, and I'm willing to work on it, but I certainly can't do it myself. So I wanted to check if anyone else would be willing to volunteer to help me? I might be going out on a limb here, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
