Those of you who know I need to talk to you or who've sent in e-mails with questions and stuff these past few days know who you are, and rest assured that we've received your-mails, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and read/respond to them all since I've been pretty busy. 8D; Anyway, I'm really exhausted and feeling kinda under the weather right now, but I'll be online as much as I can tomorrow to talk to people and address concerns. Right now, though, I gotta sleep. T_T;

RIGHT AT THE END OF THE BIRTHDAY DAY, BUT:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, damned!!!

As some of you might have noticed, the community damned was created exactly a year ago from today, October 1st, and has been going strong since then! As such, we mods have come up with a little something that'll take place throughout October that any and all current members of the RP can participate in!



No, it has nothing to do with liederhosen or German beer festivals, but it does have a lot to do with FIC-WRITING and IN-GAME PRIZES!!! (It's also a good warm-up for NaNo!)

Basically:

EVERY PARTICIPANT WHO WRITES A FIC FOR OKTOBERFEST WILL EARN ONE OF THEIR CHARACTERS THEIR OUTFIT FROM THEIR CANON

RULES FOR THE FIC

1) Your fic must be between 2000 and 5000 words in order to be eligible. We want to make sure people make a genuine effort to earn the participation prize, but we also need to make sure it isn't a behemoth!

2) Your fic must take place in the Landel's Damned setting. Your characters must either be in the Institute or the established area around it. Now, take into account that when we say "area," we mean the entire world--so a fic where the characters have escaped and are searching through the same world as Landel's is okay. The furthest from the setting you could get would be an ending where the characters make it back to their own world, but you couldn't write the entire fic in that setting.

3) Your fic must include characters who are actually at Landel's. While you can include characters who aren't on the Landel's roster on a sort of what-if basis, your fic should primarily focus on characters who are currently played in the RP.

4) If your fic, when posted, doesn't meet all of the above criteria, the mods can and will consider you ineligible to receive the participation prize. Just giving you fair warning here!

5) As long as it meets the above criteria, your fic may include any plot and characters you want! So let loose! Stay on topic, but have some fun doing it!

6) While it isn't mandatory, we strongly encourage you to write about characters other than the ones you play. After all, this is a chance to write about things you normally couldn't!

OTHER GUIDELINES/DUE DATE

1) In order to be eligible, all fics are due at 0:00 AM PST November 1st--that is, midnight on Halloween. >D

2 Please don't discuss your fic with other players, as we're not sure if we're going to do an extra contest thingy and we're not sure if we're going to make the entries anonymous because of it. So plot evilly to yourself, but don't discuss quite yet!

I think this shift ends tonight, so do we want to backthread it if we can't wrap it, or do we want to just leave it where it is when the evening is out?  If so, we should probably decide who will be divided into what group. 

I was thinking either:

Rabi and Allen, Kanda and Rinali
or
Rinali and Allen, Rabi and Kanda.  (since pairing up allen and kanda probably isn't the best idea... heh. though we could do Allen and Kanda, Ravi and Rinali too.)  Why does this seem like a bad fanfiction prompt...

Anyway... then we also need to decide who is going to which activity.  Who wants to assist Renji and Rukia, etc.  Suggestions?

Because of school, Albel, Xemnas and Scar (TLK) will be on a small hiatus. I will at least be away for the dinner shift, and perhaps the very beginning of nightshift as well depending on how far I am with my school stuff. I will be back on Friday or Saturday the latest. For the ones rooming with my characters, feel free to say they are taking a nap or something.

As I've already had plans standing for nightshift (and I'm not quite sure if it's a wise thing to do as I might be away when nightshift starts), I might as well adress this while I'm at it.

Callie-chan: Where do you want Xemnas and Saïx to meet for the nightshift? I don't assume Xemnas and Schuldig will meet?

MOMO-mun: still want to make Albel Nox run into her during nightshift? He's cranky today, just so you know.

KAY SO. With Nightshift peeking around the corner....

The plan is for Shin-Ra/AVALANCHE (and maybe with a cameo from Sephiroth) to meet up tonight, but to avoid the dreaded THREAD O'DOOM, we would like to split them into two groups. Since there're two separate areas for them to investigate, anyway. SO. I was talking to Arisa and we're not sure how you guys would want to organize this.

Um. I believe Rufus and Barret, in their IC discussion, would like to have one AVALANCHE member with Shin-Ra, and one Shin-Ra member with AVALANCHE because they're paranoid like that and would like to avoid backstabbing. Or something. Yes.

I know that Reno would, ICly, want to stay with Rufus, if at all possible. But that's it for me. Uh. DX;;; YEAH. REST OF YOU. DISCUSS AMONGST YOURSELF K AND ONETWOTHREEGO.
