So answer me this: What are your characters' alignments and why?

I mean D&D style. For those of you unfamiliar with this, the alignments go-

lawful good / neutral good / chaotic good
lawful neutral / true neutral / chaotic neutral
lawful evil / neutral evil / chaotic evil

Here is the wikipedia article on the subject, which does a good job with the explanation. If you're unsure, just pick what you think is closest or what you play them as. Some will be more difficult to place than others.

Exactly what you think. Two randomly generating characters and a prompt! Potential source for lulz, crack, and even hotness. ;) So my challenge to all of you is simple! Click the generator until you hit a pairing (or just plain pair!) with two characters you're familiar with, and write a ficlet here in comments with your pair(ing) and prompt!

Only rules are: warn for explicit content and no explicit smut with characters under age 18.

I thought it had been a while since this was done - a couple rounds? Two or three? Anyway, I thought we could do it again, cause I know people like to play with the fact that some characters will sound similar due to their voice actors.

So: List your characters, the voice actor you connect with them (whether dubbed or original if from a video game/anime) and other notable roles they have done if you wish.

This is always fun. For example, I love that fact that L and Usopp share the same Japanese VA.

Write a letter to your character(s) from you, the mun. Can be as long or short as you want, mention any topics, etc. For example:

I'd like to wait for the intros to be done, but I'm trying to procrastinate to be good and update my character journals with new content. And since this is very much like a meme that is buried somewhere in the lounge past, might as well play with it again?

So. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL PEOPLE HOW YOUR CHARACTERS FEEL ABOUT THEIR CHARACTERS, post a comment with all of your characters listed. For me, that'd I'd list Homura, Tatsumi (dropped), Hiei, and Ururu since Sano is so new and has interacted with two people. Anyone can reply to any comment, including the name of the character they want to hear about, and preferably the name of the character they want to hear it from. Dropped characters may be included in both offerings and requests.

Please please please, if you have interacted with ANY of my characters, comment? I'll probably still end up going through threads, but I'd really like to have some way of double checking. And I'll totally finish this time, cause I don't think I did last time. Um. If I didn't, feel free to whack me?

Anonymous Love Meme.

Sakki, I think, posted the original awhile back, and the idea is the same. Basically, a chance for damned players and brave enough audience (we really don't bite, promise) to spread the love, and make people feel good. Anyone who wants to participate just lists people who make them happy for whatever reason, and puts the reason. Since we're in the holiday season, it's a good time of year, right?

The difference from the original that for some reason I have this thing about people replying anonymously, even though we're all completely obvious, because it adds to the fun on that rare chance that someone isn't...completely obvious!

To volunteer your character(s) for answering: Post a comment listing any and all characters you're willing to take questions for. Nightshifters and Doctors can be listed as well.

To ask a question: Find the thread for that particular character, and ask away. Any questions are allowed. And feel free to converse with the characters after they've answered.

One thing I like about playing here (and am constantly surprised by) is that there are male players. My other main roleplay community on LJ is so female-dominated that we accidentally tease our occasional male players half to death.

Now, I am female, and I roleplay almost exclusively as male characters. (I hope this hasn't been done before or recently.) So my real question is: do you roleplay your own gender more or the opposite? And why.

Okay, so the crazy people in chat started talking about the players being in landels rather than the characters, and what skills would be useful! Thus, I present the landels real life meme.

So, if YOU as YOURSELF were to be tossed in a real life Landels with all the other players here...

Please answer the following questions!

1) What sort of skills do you have that would be useful in the Landels setting? Martial arts, special knowledge, first aid, lock picking, sneaking.

2) What would you do faced with night-shift. Run away, stay in the room, fight... and why you would do that.

3) Survival rate! We expect a low survival rate for real life landels. What would probably kill you, and how long do you think you would last?

4) Who would you like to adventure with, and would you be protecting people, being protected, or betraying them to Landels!

5) How long would it take for them to brainwash you and make you think you were someone else.

6) What would you do while under Special Counseling?

7) What would they do to you for MU?

The Damned Pairing Meme

Since Sra is a lazy bum, rules and idea are stolen from here, and modified to fit damned.

Step One: ANONYMOUSLY post a pairing you would like to see, as well as a prompt or situation or KINK.
Step Two: Anon will fill your request with a short fic.
Step Three: ???
Step Four: Profit.

You can collaborate on requests. The contact list is here for reference. If ANYONE is uncomfortable with their character being written by someone else, please comment and I'll put up a list. Normally I'd say tough luck, but this since this is an RP meme and you know what your character has gone through... It seems fair.

You can fill requests for your own characters, or for people you've never played in your life. Whatever. Have fun with it. Requests can be filled more than once. :D

Note: Pairings must include at least one character who is already being played and please refrain from posting any graphic sex. A spoiler tag in the subject line would be nice when necessary. Fics can be during, post-damned, or even slightly AU (as in, making a patient a doctor/nurse/head doctor...).

This idea occurred to me in the wee hours of the morning, as I was struggling to get to sleep...

Here's the scenario: the mods, giving in to the dark side, require, from new applicants, a list of up to four characters. Those four characters are the only ones that player may apply for, until they have been accepted or rejected twice for each. Add a fifth if you are intending to app a doctor, of course...

So, who would everyone put? Yes, this is mostly for those who have not yet reached the limit... but, even for those who have, I'd like to know what the first four would be.

Mine are as follows, in order:

Character #1: Tenjou Utena, from Shoujo Kakumei Utena: The Movie.

Character #2: Kuchiki Byakuya, from Bleach.

Character #3: The Tenth Doctor, from Doctor Who.

Character #4: Nell-Tu-Oderschvank, from Bleach.

Doctor: Dr. Lisa Cuddy, from House.

Of course... even if I do end up apping a doctor, it might not be Cuddy. I'm expecting good things from Torchwood's Dr. Toshiko Sato, since I loved her in that one episode of Doctor Who... it might end up being her.

You can spend one day and night in Landel's as one of your characters. You pick who now, but upon entering the Damned you wouldn't know it was you until after the entire thing was over. You would actually be that character for the duration of the experiment... and have the memories and experience left to you after it was all said and done.

Who do you pick? Feel free to pick someone you're apping this cycle instead of a current character, and you can pick a Nightshift-only char too but then you'd be limited to the night. and I wonder if this has been done before lol

Uhh, anyway. It works like this! As you all know, there are a... good amount of characters in this game. That means that getting to thread with everyone is pretty much impossible, but there must be some characters that you'd like to thread with in particular, be it because you like the character, think they would have good interaction with your character, etc.

So, what characters have you always wanted to thread with but have never gotten a chance to thus far for whatever reason? Respond with something along those lines (also say which of your characters you'd want the thread to be with if you have more than one) and give your reasoning for why, simple as it might be. There's a chance that the player of the character(s) you mention will see your comment, and if they want, they can respond and you guys could try to organize for your characters to meet at some point!

Mods decide to be terrible, terrible people, and set a hard character limit of ONE patient character per player. Who do you keep, and why? Doctors and NSers don't count. And for fun, include people you are considering applying for this coming cycle.

So, certain persons in chat were pushing me into getting some BPAL perfumes tonight (and I caved ttly), and they do some special lines for certain books, like Alice in Wonderland and good Omens. So, my question is >>

If they were making a Landel's Damned line of perfumes/oils, what would you character's oil smell of? (Of course, as Fey pointed out, some of the ones already made really suit characters, so feel free to use those too ^__^ )
